Riddled.

The Jewel

My mother and father called me down stairs to the living room. My mother was sitting on the couch and my father was standing next to the stairs.
My mother motioned for me to come and sit down with her. She grabbed my hand and held it tight, and opened her mouth to speak
"Carmen...this is Amero." Announced My mother
"Your future husband" she said with a large smile and excited laughter..
I was at a loss of words and breath.
A Tall dark haired boy walked out of the kitchen and approached My father first, he extended his hand indicating that he had some manners. Kindly Father shook his hand and showed him to a seat..
"Amero of the Remington family" Amero said with a grin and a wink
"And he is the aire to a BILLION dollar company!" Said Mother with a squeal..
"You got that 'n right Mrs.Hathaway" he said, once again winking
I rolled my eyes and let out a sigh.
"So Amero, tell us about yourself.." My father said.
"Haha, oh where do I begin!" He boasted
"Well, my mom and dad run a BILLION dollar industry and I pretty much live in a castle! Haha not really..but it is a mansion.. Much much bigger than yours. Oh and did I mention that I'm rich?..like really really really rich!"
"Oh yes" said Mother, batting her fake eyelashes while father slowly nodded his head in agreement
"Oh brother.." I thought to myself
"Well its been fun! But I'm gonna go now!"I announced. As I got up grabbed my keys and quickly ran out the front door. I jumped into my car and started for downtown, I immediately burst into tears..I pulled off the road and put my head on the steering wheel. A second car pulled off to the other side of the road
He was in a large black van with dark windows, the man that stepped out wore a dark purple hoodie that covered his eyes and a pair of black jeans with a purple belt he opened the side door of the van and pulled aside a set of curtains..he took out a chair and a sign. He put the sign beside the door and the chair beside the front wheel. I couldn't tell what the sign said so I got out to get a better look. He saw me and motioned me to come over to him. I walked over to his side of the road. A large smile spread across his half hidden face
"well hello pretty lady!" Said the man
" um Hi?.."I said cautiously
" won't you look around my store? " he laughed
"Um.. It's a van," I said
" yes. On the outside, I promise no fowl play..just a man trying to get rid of some old issues"he said while yet another large grin spread from one cheek to another this time revealing a set of sharp pointy teeth
"Oh. Ok?..." I hesitated
I stepped inside of the dark van and looked around, it started changing..it started to look like a small convenience store, in the corner was a white column, on it sat a pillow with a small jewelry box on top, it contained a very small but beautiful jewel shaped like a heart.
"This is beautiful! I reached into the box and pulled the jewel out, it was extremely heavy and extremely cold. So I put it down..
" ah yes!! That has been a big pain in the neck for awhile actually, I've been trying to get rid of it for months now !" The man explained
He picked up the box with no problem and handed it to me, now it was lighter, but I could feel the cold through the box.
"How much?" I asked
"$23.13" he said
I handed him the money and stepped out.
"Pretty specific price. Huh?.. Saving up for something?" I asked
"Haha, I guess you could say that" the man laughed
I started walking across the road back to my car. I turned to say thank you but the van was already gone
