I Love You, But.... (a Sesshomaru Love Story)

never getting them back

Kira's pov

My eyes flickered open. Looking up I saw that sesshomaru had placed me in his lap on the ground. Feeling a strong pounding I raised my hand to my head. Sesshomaru looked at me as I rose into a sitting position. Never in my life had my head hurt so much. It felt as if someone had banged a cooking pan against my head, and more than once at that. Baring with the pain I stood up and waited for sesshomaru to do the same. When sesshomaru stood up I started to walk in the direction I remember hearing the thoughts come from. Each and very step I took was like another bang from the non existent cooking pan.

Feeling like I might pass out again from the pain I stopped and rested against a tree. I placed my back on the tree and my hands on my head. Sesshomaru stopped and looked over to me.

"are you going to be okay" he inquired.

"I'll be fine. I just need a moment's break" I wasn't interlay sure that I would be okay, but I was sure that I had to find the girls before it was to late. I wasn't going to let it be my fault if they got hurt.

A loud high pitched screech rang out into the area. I knew the scream as well as my own. No doubt in my mind that the sound came from one and only kagome. I pushed myself off the tree and took off running towards the sound. Feeling the pain in my head lighten up I increased my speed. Looking to my left I saw that sesshomaru wasn't far ahead of me.

"your pretty fast for a human" sesshomaru called out looking back at me

"I ran track and field in school not that you would know what that is" I explained. Track really didn't have anything to do with it. I had been the fastest kid in school back then, but that was three years ago. I had quite the team when people started to make rumors that I wasn't human and that I was cheating some how. Even before falling into the well the coach would come to me begging me to rejoin the team. Of course now I don't see the coach anymore. When me and kagome started to come to the fedural era instead of being like kagome and still trying to go to school I just dropped out. I saw no point in trying to go I would just fail every class from being late.

Hearing kagome scream again I pushed my self to run faster the way I would in a race. Seeing sesshomaru stop I immediately slowed to a stop. Stopping beside him I looked at our surroundings. We stood at the top of a cliff hidden by trees. Below us was a demons den. A large opening in the woods full of the same type of demons we had been fighting for the past two days. In the middle of the den was an empty spot with demons from random places in the den watching it. It was all well placed have no one guarding the spot up close, but if anyone gets too close break their back. Guard the spot, but stay hidden. Don't let on that you're watching it.

Looking to the far left of the den I could see Tammy of the obis family sitting at what seemed to be a thrown area. Seeing that mad it obvious that she was in charge here. And if she was in charge then kagome m
And Sango must be here like I had thought. And if their not here this is definitely the first step in finding them. Sesshomaru put his arm around my waist and leaped off the cliff into the den.

landing on our feet only a foot or two from the empty spot we faced Tammy. I felt an almost familiar wave of energy wash over me. She stood up and narrowed her eyes at us. Taking a few steps forward Tammy hopped down from the raised dirt gray platform she had been sitting on before.

"their not here if that's what you came for" she claimed in a calm tone.

"your lying" I hissed at back at her.

"and why on earth would you say that"

"I heard my sister scream. I'm not stupid Ik her screams"

"I told you once before you ignorant fool she's not your sister, and you took the time to read the letter you might know that. Of course it is a week early for that now isn't it"

"I don't know what your talking about"

"of course you do" she walked up to me. Raising her right hand she placed a finger under my chin. She pulled my face forward and lend into my ear whispering "the envelope in your right boot"

Feeling sesshomaru tense up he released his hold on me and push Tammy away from me. "don't touch her" he growled.

Feeling as weak as I had been earlier in the woods I sank down on my hands and knees on the ground. I didn't like that I was showing weakness in front of Tammy or that she know about the envelope. I knew that she must have read my thoughts to know about it.

"I want kagome and Sango back right now" I shouted pulling out an arrow raising and arming my bow. I aimed at her heart with every intention of killing her.

"you'll have to kill me to get them back and that won't be that easy"

I let the arrow slip out of my hand firing right at her chest. Before my arrow was able to hit her she was gone. I looked around, but didn't she her.

"was that your best shot" I heard Tammy taunt.

I turn towards her with my back to the empty spot. Pulling out another arrow I stepped back and firing at her. She sent the arrow flying in the other direction the way she had before and held her hand up at me. Fire shoot from her hand at me. Leaning back to dodge the attack my back hit something solid, but the only thing behind was the empty space.
