"Come on Derek. I think he'll like you." I say grabbing his hand. I miss holding his hand while we walk down the street. Seeing all the girls stare at us, them being jealous and us just laughing. I continue to walk to the door and open it. As I see Jody and Nate playing, I feel Derek's hand tighten.
"I don't think he'll like me y/n." Derek says hiding behind me like he was scared. I give him a synthetic small smile and turn back to see Nate with a furious face. I let go of Derek's hand quickly.
"Um.... Jody? I need to tell you something sweetie." Jody gets up and walks to me with those big puppy "Derek Luh" eyes.
"Do you remember when you asked me where you dad was?" He shakes his head yes.
"Well this is him. Derek is your dad." Jody, with the biggest smile ever, runs to Derek and hugs him. He puts Jody down and starts to play and talk to him. I can't help but to look at Derek and his beautiful face. Knocking me out of my thoughts, I jump as I feel Nate come behind me, putting his arms around my waist.
"Maybe you should give him another chance."
"What about us Nate? I know we're not dating but...."
"I want you with Derek. He's better." I turn to Nate and give him a peck on the cheek. And with that, I sit down with Derek. Laying my head on his shoulder. He gives me a kiss on my forehead.
"You don't have a girlfriend, right?" I say with squinting my eyes at him. He laughs.
"No!"
"Good." I say as I slowly lean in, and kiss his soft lips.
