Your P.O.V:
I woke up, not feeling to well. I looked over at my boyfriend, Alex, and kissed his cheek, he stirred and went back into his deep sleep. I felt even more sick when I stood up, I had to run to the washroom, I made it just as I threw up. I thought nothing of it, I probably ate something bad. I went down stairs and started making breakfast for Alex.
"Hey Y/N, I'm going shopping today, wanna come?" Alex's sister, Anna asked me from the doorway of the kitchen.
"Sure, let me just finish this and I'll get dressed." I smiled,
"Alright, Alex still sleeping?"
"Yeah, but he has practice so I'm going to wake him up after I get dressed" I said, flipping the last pancake and wiping my hands on the shirt I'd thrown over my underwear.
"Okay, I'll be on the couch," she smiled.
"Okay, I should be ready in 15 minutes." I gave a smile back.
I put the last pancake on the plate and put it in the toaster oven that was meant to keep things warm. I made my way upstairs and put a pair of black leggings on, I went through about 5 shirts before I chose to wear one of Alex's beach tank tops. I slipped on a pair of black vans and tied my hair up, I was so hot even though we have about 4 windows in the house open and it's winter. I grabbed an oversized grey zip up sweater.
"Alex, baby. It's time to get up," I said, crouching beside him.
"No," he groaned, pulling the blanket over his head.
"I made pancakes, they're in the toaster oven. I'm going shopping with Anna." I said getting up from my squatting position.
I made my way to the washroom in mine and Alex's bedroom and brushed my teeth. As I dried my mouth, I felt arms wrap around my waist.
"Morning," I felt a pair of lips brush over my cheek.
I turned around and kissed him on the lips.
"Morning, baby." I smiled "I'll see you tonight?"
"This afternoon," he corrected. "I'll miss you, bubba." He said hugging me tighter.
"I'll miss you too, baby." I kissed him once more before we both made our ways downstairs.
"You ready?" Anna asked me.
"Yeah, let's go!" I smiled,
"Bye, my beautiful ladies." I heard Alex call from the kitchen.
"Bye baby!"
"Bye Alex!"
We got in Anna's car and drove off. The first store we went into was Hollister, I buy all my skinny jeans there. I tried on my regular size and they were too small, did I gain weight? I don't want to gain weight! I thought. I put the jeans back, embarrassed because people know who me and Anna are. I met Anna outside of Hollister.
*driving home.
Anna spent 250 dollars on clothes and everything I tried on in my size didn't fit. I was really upset and it actually made me cry, I guess I'm PMSing and bloating. When we got home I needed to be in loose clothes and I was craving chocolate ice cream, which luckily we have. I put on Alex's clothes and got the tub of chocolate ice cream. I sat on the couch and watched Criminal Minds. I started feeling sick again, so I lied down and then it got worse. Fuck. I ran to the washroom again and threw up.. Again! Once I was done, I rinsed my mouth out and lied down on the couch. I need sleep.
*days later.
It's been a couple days of cravings, being emotional and being sick. I decided to go to my doctor during Alex's practice to find out what could possibly be wrong with me.
"What's been going on?" My doctor asked me
"Vomiting, I've been really emotional, I've been having cravings and I couldn't fit into my regular sizes when I went shopping." I explained.
"Lie down"
He started rubbing around my stomach.
"When did you last have sex?"
"5days ago.."
"Unprotected?"
"Not that I can remember.." I answered.
"We're going to send you down to the ultrasound room just to see." He said, making me sit up.
I walked down the hall to the ultra-sounding and sat in the waiting room
"Y/N?"
"Yes?"
"Come with me please?"
I followed this younger looking woman to a room with an older looking lady.
"How've you been doing?"
"Not very good, you?" I asked, trying to be polite.
"Amazing, can you lie down for me please?"
I did as she said.
"So, how old are you?" She asked, putting latex gloves over her hands.
"18,"
"This is gonna be a bit cold," she said, putting the gel on my stomach.
I heard this throbbing noise coming from what she was moving around my stomach.
"What's that?" I asked, shaking.
"A heart beat, and it's not yours."
I felt like a bag of butterflies exploded in my stomach.
"You're pregnant. Congratulations." She said, handing me the pictures from the ultrasound
I put my hands over my face.
*20 minutes later.
I walked out of the building with a thousand things on my mind, and all of them were about the baby. I'm pregnant, I'm going to be a mom.. Alex is going to be a dad. Names. Telling people. Telling Alex. Oh my god. What am I going to do? I went to the Bell Centre which was a block away from the place I'd gotten my ultrasound done at. I opened the door and went to the offices near the locker rooms. I knocked and Therrien opened the door.
"Just who I wanted to see." I said as I smiled.
"What's up?" He asked, inviting me into the office,
I took a seat across Therrien.
"You're the first one I'm telling, which might seem weird, but I just found out that I'm pregnant with Alex's baby."
"That's amazing! Congratulations!"
"Thank you," I laughed "I was wondering if we could somehow tell Alex at the game. Surprise him a bit."
"Of course!" He laughed "what were you thinking?"
"I was thinking we could put it on the tv and an announcer say something."
"Perfect, I'll arrange it." He went for a hug. "I'll see you later tonight and congrats again." He touched my stomach.
*at the game.
After the warm up and stuff, Therrien waved for me to come down in the hall way from ice to the locker room.
"Please rise, remove your hats and caps for the singing of the national anthems."
After the anthem was done they did this new thing.
"Today's a special day, so were going to be doing a soon to be daddy cam." The announcer said,
I looked up at the screen and it was showing a whole bunch of couples that were having babies and then it went to Alex. All of the boys were staring at the screen and when Alex showed up on the screen they all jumped and pushed Alex. Alex looked up and spit out his water. He looked around for me and I walked out onto the bench. The crowd was going wild. When I reached Alex he jumped up and turned around to face me.
"Are you serious?!" He exclaimed.
I simply just nodded my head as I smiled. He crashed his lips on mine as I smiled.
"Congrats, daddy." I said with the biggest smile on my face.
Alex put his hand on my stomach and kissed me again.
