"No." Liam stopped to take a breath. Wheezing, he fell back on the couch. As hot tears burned his puffy cheeks, Liam fidgeted with the tassels on the pillow that lay in his lap. He was in his checkered boxers, but he could careless about his image. Holly's dad stared down at Liam's quivering, muscly frame. His sweat on his arms and tears falling on his bare abs,gave him more definition. "I'm-" mr.piper hesitated , "I'm so sorry, for your loss son." He patted Liam's broad shoulder, then shook him lightly. "It's just as heartbreaking for me-" he heard Liam give out a small wheep. "As it is for you." He then slowly began to turn and walk towards the open door that was letting in the breeze. Liam glanced up.Face red with splotches. His palms now damp from his mourning.
Moments later Mr.Watson walked out of the door slightly slamming it behind him. He could no longer here the birds outside, or the wind flowing threw branches. All there was-was silence.
Her dad had taken her spirit with him.
Mr.Piper started to leave with Mr.watson. Liam knew what he wanted to do. "Excuse me sir'?" He called across the room, voice cracking. He cleared his throat. I'd like-to volunteer," Liam put his fist on his mouth holding back the tears. He sniffed, "I'd like to volunteer in honor of my almost mate-Holly." He stood proudly from the leather sofa he thought he would never move from again. Mr.piper pierced his lips. "Well bud, if u really are up to bat I mea-" "Ill do it.With pride Sir'." Liam interrupted his speaking. The big man chuckled, "You got guts kid, and that just might keep u alive in there." Liam stood silently waiting for an answer,his eyes bloodshot. Mr.Piper cleared his throat and fixed his helmet under his arm, "I am agreeing to your offer.Come let's get u fitted. "Gladly Sir." Liam nodded his head sternly, and turned to get dressed so he could get his uniform.
