"Could you not please?" I asked looking out at the lunchroom.
"I can't help it Nikki you're just that short," Mikey said looking down at me. I reached up and smacked his arm off my head. I went to sit down waiting for first bell to ring, when I saw Christine walking towards us an angry look on her face. Mikey pulled out a chair next to me and sat throwing his bag on the table.
" I can't even today! I forgot my Dutch Bros and I just can't." Christine yelled, throwing her bags down on the table. Mikey looked over at me as if to say 'shit not this again'. I rolled my eyes, as Mikey pulled out her chair next to him. She sat down throwing her hair up into a ponytail as she started another rant about her Mom.
"First, she decides that I have to clean the entire fucking house, then," she continued to rant. Christine groaned and smacked her head down on the table. I patted her back and told her she'd be okay.
"Oh look what the cat dragged in," Mikey muttered, rolling his eyes to someone behind me.
"Michael," Dylan said, kissing my cheek. I turned and looked at his hair, up in its usual quiff.
"Hey babe," I said as he sat down next to me. Mikey rolled his eyes, grabbing his bag, mumbling something about meeting up with Nolan.
"When will he get over you and stop hating me?" Dylan asked, rolling his brown eyes.
"Well it's been almost two years, so never?" I said laughing. Dylan just smiled to himself, intertwining our hands. First bell rang, and I stood grabbing my bag. Dylan and I walked to my home room.
"So," he started leaning against the wall, "What are you doing this Friday?"
"I am going to be out with my boyfriend I assume." I said, smiling teasingly.
"Oh yeah?" He countered. "And when do I get to meet this boyfriend?" I rolled my eyes and he grabbed my waist pulling me close to him. I placed my hands on either side of his face and planted my lips softly on his.
"For the millionth time Miss Sayers, no PDA in school!" Mrs. Chandler yelled.
"Sorry," I said smiling sheepishly. I reached up on my tip toes and gave Dylan a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Don't worry babe, it's the last day of her," He smiled at me, and turned walking down the hall.

I watched the bell tick down the final minutes of the school year and I couldn't help the giddy feeling rising in my stomach. I looked at Christine bouncing her legs up and down. The clock hit 11 and everybody jumped up from their seats."Yes!!" Christine yelled next to me. "The sweet release from this hellish prison!" I smiled hiking up my backpack, as we walked out the door. I threw my long blonde hair up in a ponytail, taking in the California heat.
"So should we head back to my place to set up?" Dylan asked me, joining us and throwing his arm around my shoulder.
"Yeah sounds like a plan."
