THUNDER ROLLS ACROSS THE NIGHT SKY as I lock the door at the Animal Clinic.

I walk into the restroom with a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, lifts my dress and removes the bandage from my thigh.

Wow.

The bite from the night before is gone. It has completely healed in just 24 hours.

Like I said, I'm a god.

"Hey, kitties."

I drag a large bag of cat food down the hall of the clinic toward the "Cat Clinic." Once I stepped inside the cats begin to howl and hiss and claw at their cages.

"What the hell?" I whisper, officially freaked out.

The cats always loved me.

As they became more crazed, I ran out of the door and slammed it shut.

A knock sounds through the building, causing me to jump in fright.

I walk towards the door curious, nobody ever comes in late.

I swear if I'm murdered before I get my first kiss, I'm coming back to kill them.

As I looked out the window, someone I never expected to see, was standing right at the door.

I opens the door and inspected her shivering and wet body.

"Uh, hi--"

"I didn't see it. I took my eyes off the road for, like, two seconds to change the song on my iPod, and then this dog, it just came out of nowhere!" She sobbed frantically.

I could swear my heart cracked, just with one sob falling from her lips.

"It's all right, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right. Do you remember where it happened so I can send Animal Control to find it?" I said placing my hands on her arms ushering her in.

"No! I mean, yes, I know where I hit it, but the dog is--"

"Where is it?"

"It's in my car." She whispered out, as she led me to her car.
