Chapter 7

Christine's POV

When Michael was just finishing getting ready for bed when I noticed that his hands were still shaking.

"Michael, are you alright? Your hands are shaking." I pointed out.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." He said, not very convincingly.

"Michael, what's wrong? You can tell me." I said as he climbed into bed. I put my hand on his.

"It's just... I almost lost you and the baby today." He said looking distraught.

"But you didn't. We're both okay." I reminded him.

"But if we're to have lost either one of you, if anything had happened to either one of you, I couldn't live with myself. I mean it, I don't know whit I'd do."

"Michael Vincent! You will stop moping about it right now! I know what we can do though."

"So do I..." Michael said in a cheeky tone kissing me. I started giggling.

"No, I meant now that we know the gender of the baby we should pick a name. What about Sarah, Emma or Lorelei?"

"Eh, I don't think that those would work well with Hodgins. Maybe we should pick a name that has already been used in your family or my family."

"What about Zooey? It's my best friend from high school's name." I suggested.

"Zooey Hodgins, I like it. But what about Courtney? It's my grandmother's name."

"Courtney Booth-Hodgins. That sounds nice."

"Hey wait a minute! We never agreed to have a hyphenated last name."

"But could we? Please?" I begged using my sad eyes. They always worked on him.

"Oh, alright." He gave in.

"Alright, so it's between Courtney Booth-Hodgins and Zooey Booth-Hodgins."

"Well, we still have some time to think... Maybe one should be a middle name." He thought out loud.

"Well," I said as I took the paper he had been writing on to circle one of them. "This one should be a middle name. It sounds better that way."

"I agree" Michael said, leaning over to kiss me. "Now can we do what I wanted to do before?" He asked.

I nodded yes, and we started into a heavy make out session.
