I knew the second I heard the scream who it belonged to. My mother. Time seemed to slow once the gun shot was fired. In that moment I knew that life as I knew it was over.

11:00 amI was still at the hospital. I kept replaying the nights events in my head.
When the shot had gone off I had pushed my way to the front of the crowd. To sure enough see my mother with a large red spot on the stomach of her white dress. From there to here it was a blur. I remember being asked my name, age, and relation. Then once the ambulance arrived the put both my mother, aunt Hailey, Kelly, and I in the back.
"Amber Seir, can you please come here" said the doctor. I stood and went over to him. He was tan and had a slight smile on his face. "I just wanted to let you know that your mother is awake, and she is expected to make a full recovery." My heart skyrocketed I was so happy I just about screamed.
"Can I see her now?" I said trying to keep calm.
"I'm afraid not, you see we have an officer in there checking to make sure she's doing fine and to interrogate her about the person who shot her. All that you should be able to go in in about 20 minutes we'll call you." Said the doctor with a hopeful voice. As if 20 minutes was a hope.
"Ook then I said" and with that went back to my chair.
About half an hour later I heard yelling. Then out of my mothers room came a police officer. He yelled "NURSE HELP... She flat lined!" My heart just about dropped.
I prayed it wasn't my mom but when I looked through the medium sized window that went into her room I saw her. Laying there while the moneter player its saddest tune.
