she smiled so widely, all the crooked and shiny white teeth showing, dimples deeper than life itself, so proud of herself
she smiled so widely, flashing her perfectly straight teeth before trying to hide the smile from the world behind her hands and chipped white nail polish as her friends throw their heads back laughing
she smiled so widely, not even caring about the smeared lipstick all over her chin, not caring about the dimples that she'd grown to be so insecure of, observing the way he looked at her
she smiled so widely, squeezing her eyes shut, knowing her mascara was just streaming down her face, holding him closer than she ever had
and she smiled smiled smiled all her life, so beautifully, so extraordinarily, so gorgeously
and yet she absolutely despised her own smile
little did she know, it still lit up the world every time
