Chloe's POV
"Helena?! Do you know where my jacket is?" I yell at my best friend, Helena, who is at the bottom of the stairs, putting her converse shoes on.
She brushes her long brown hair out of her face and yells back "it's down here! Hurry up!" And goes back to tying up her shoe laces. Okay then... I rush downstairs, almost tripping on a stray scarf on the floor. I see my black leather jacket on the railing, fling it on and open the door. A gust of wind whacks me in the face. Stupid wind. Helena gets up, grabs her denim jacket and hand bag while racing out the door. I lock up the house and go to my friend, who is waiting for me by the lamppost outside my house.
Helena lives with me because her parents died in a car accident when she was nine. Since then, she has always lived with me, my older brother (who is called Michael and is 19) and my father. It was a long process, but eventually we sorted out the adoption papers. We share a room in the attic - my choice haha, I love it up there. It's so peaceful, big and secretive. I thoroughly enjoy it up there because it is relatively soundproof unless you shout, so that means we can blast The Script songs (best music ever) pretty loudly in the night and no one but us can hear! That's also the main place where we stay and talk about how awesome The Script are.
"Wake up Chloe! Stop daydreaming! Have you got the tickets?" Helena says in my ear quite loudly. Whoops... Daydreaming again... I give her one of the sacred tickets. Jogging down the streets, we go to catch the bus and only just make it. Phew!
The bus ride was quite short and generally all we did was talk about how excited we were to see our stars live at a concert. We arrive at the bus stop in no time and walk swiftly to the place where the concert is.
"Hey Chloe. Do you know where the entrance is?" Helena asks me. I look around.
"I think it's round the back!" I exclaim, and lead us round an alley where there is a door. But it was locked. "Hey Helena. Wait here. I'll have a look for an entrance." With a nod of her head, I take off, determined to find a way in.I suddenly saw a sign saying 'main entrance.' How could we have missed it? I start to walk back to where I left my friend, when I hear a scream and a tall man in a hoodie jogging away from an alley; the alley in which I left Helena. I run round the block to see where she is. She is laying on the floor with her face streaming with tears and a small patch of blood dribbling down her leg.
"What happened?!" I exclaim. She points to her leg and continues sobbing. I'd better find some help... I tell her I'm going to get help and run off. It takes me seven minutes to find a police officer and tell him that my friend is injured in an alley and I show him where it is. But when we get there, Helena is gone.
