Cold As Ice, Yet Warm as The Sun

Chapter 1-

The setting was cheerful and exciting. Everyone gathered around that quite small shop hoping to purchase some buddyfight cards from this shop. Unlike them, however, I wasn't here to buy anything.

      It was the day of the 20% discount on ALL Buddyfight cards and apparently to the people who actually played the game, this was a big deal. Remember when I said I wasn't here to buy anything like a paragraph ago? Yeah, you might want to remember that, it'll be important later.

     You see, I'm what some people call a 'hooligan', 'robber' or in some cases 'thief'. Though, I would think the best word for me is a 'borrower'.
Today, is my somewhat first hopeful robbery. I say 'hopeful', becuase I've never actually been successful in a robbery. I usually just play it off like I was just picking it up to look at it. Today though, I'm feeling lucky.
      I step into to overcrowded card shop, most of which contains more boys than girls. Everyone seemed to be too entranced by the vast collection of cards, that they didn't see me swipe a jackknife dragon card into my pocket.
     I turned my head slowly to the left, then to the right. When I thought the coast was clear, I made a dash for it, but I heard someone in the background yell, " hey you! Come back here with that card!"
I didn't give up, I kept hurrying on. I'm sure if I made it outside the mall, he would give up and I'd be home free! Although, like I said before, I've never actually successfully done this.
     I arrived at the escalators that went down to the entrance and exit. The owner of the buddyfight shop was still on my tail, so much so that I wasn't paying attention. I ran down the downwards escalator and even while i did it, I thought it was weird.
      Victory was assured! I arrived outside in smelled the fresh air, celebrating my victory. But it was a short lives victory. Outside, waiting for me, was the kid prodigy himself, Tasuku Ryuenji.
"Sorry to say, but you'll have to be under arrest." The blue haired boy said, taking a few steps forward.

The boy took his core deck case out and held it up to me.

"Unless you'd like to challenge me to a Buddyfight!" Tasuku declared, with passion in his eyes and a smirk on his face.

"Ugh, sorry, but I don't play Buddyfight."

"Huhh?!" The boy's surprised face was too much!

"Yeah, in fact this is all new to me. Robbing I mean."

"Well, either way, I'm going to take you to headquarters."
I sighed,"yes sir."
