"Hey. Hey. Easy there kid. No need to be afraid of me. I'm Dr.-"
"Stop calling me kid! Only one person can call me that!" You glared at him and cringed inwardly. Why had you just said that?
"Alright. Alright... Geez.. As I was saying, my name is Dr. Dimitri. I am your personal.. doctor..are you alright (Y/N)?"
As he questioned you he slowly reached towards your forehead, the back of his hand facing you. You recoiled back slightly grumbling your dissatisfaction as you squeezed your eyes shut. As the back of his hand touched your forehead your eyes flew open and a small spark jolted between the two of you. He gave a slight yelp and pulled his hand back and hissed. He clutched his hand to his body rubbing it absentmindly.
"What in the... Hell.." He shook his hand out and gave you a slight once over. You stilled for a second you both maintaining eye contact before he gave a sigh and heaved himself off of the bed. He sighed and stretched and gave a goofy smile.
"Okie Dokie! Well that was new.. But surely it was probably static. You don't seem to have a fever like yesterday nor are you flailing calling out for your imaginary friend," he turned on his heel and gave a small wave as he made his way out.
"Imaginary friend..? D-Did I happen to say a name by chance..? " you crawled to the edge of the bed and sat crossed legged watching Dimitri. He stopped and crossed his arms looking up at the ceiling chewing his lip.
"Actually... Yeah! William..? Bob..? Billy..? Bill! Bill Cipher!" he snapped his fingers as his his eyes lite up in memory. He gave a lopsided grin that spreaded into a full smile.
"Bill Cipher!" you stumbled up to your feet and padded slowly towards him. He cautiously took a step back but his smile never wavered.
"Uh, yeah kid- er... Yes you were mumbling the name Bill Cipher. Does it happen to be a family member of yours or something..?"
You opened your mouth to correct him but shut it biting your bottom lip nervously. If you told him it was a demon that continued to harass you, you'd surely get studied. Your throat giving a small groan as you nodded slowly.
"Yeah he's.. Something like that.. " at this you looked up to your doctor and did a double take. When you met his eyes he was glaring at you something fierce. But once you blinked he was just smiling that goofy smile like before. Your eyebrows furrowed as you watched him, you could've sworn-
"Alright then! Well if you happen to have his number somewhere in that noggin of yours let me know so we can contact him."
At this beeping started to fill the room and his eyes wided. He held up a finger to you and looked down to his belt buckle and unhooked his pager. A confused look crossed his face for in instant before morphing into a look indescribable.
"Ah sorry...Look I have to go. More patients and what not. But if you remember how to contact him let me know. Alright?"
He gave you a smile that hadn't quite reached his eyes before turning on his heel and padding out of the room shutting the door quietly behind him, leaving you in the quiet white room.
Alone.
Exhaling deeply you turned around to examine the room and noticed a bouquet of Forget-Me-Nots in the most vibrant of yellows. With a slight confused look upon your face you bustled over and gently touched the petals, lightly. Upon touch, a wave of calmness washed over you. Your shoulders instantly sagged, and upon relaxation you felt a slight throb of pain radiate from them. Hissing you released the gentle hold from the petals and reached towards the back of your neck.
"Ow..." you groaned under your breath, your eyes screwing shut.
Rolling your shoulders, you moaned in pleasure as the sweet sound of your back cracking finally eased your tensed state. Reopening your eyes you then noticed a small card propped upon the flower vase, cursing yourself for not noticing it before you reached out and picked it up. Turning it in your hands investigating the envelope. You tutted when you couldn't find a name upon the card. Shrugging you slipped your nail under the flap and ripped into it. Inside was rectangle white business card. Confusion sent in and you slipped it out.
Eyes widening at the only word on it your breathing quickened and your hands shook slightly. You frantically turned it over and over trying to find any others words printed on the card but your search ended in failure. Your hand froze and you watched as the card slipped from your grasp and flutter to the tabletop, landing up right. You stared back at the word that mocked you, your eyes dilating.
"No. Please.. No."
You continued to stare at the word hoping to God that you would blink and the word would magically morph into another. But no. Turning on your heel you quickly scurried around the room throwing open the curtain that separated your bed from the patients.
Upon inspection you froze solid. Your blood chilling and running through your veins icy cold.
"N-No.."
