"You mad?"
"No, leave me alone."
"Then gimme a kiss since you ain't mad."
If I rolled my eyes any harder I would've rolled into a different dimension. I kept doing my homework and listening to music. Missing You by Lucci was on and I was in my feelings early in the morning. As soon as I finished my math homework I pulled out my English worksheet. I scanned over the text and highlighted what I thought was important with my pink highlighter and hummed along to the song while my best friend and her girlfriend was talking and playing around.
Chanel tapped me disturbing my train of thought and my music and asked if I wanted something from the vending machine. I pulled out two dollars and asked her for a twix and a white gatorade and they walked off and I went back to my homework. I knew I missed over a lot of stuff in my homework but it was only 15 minutes until class started so I was just going to do it in first period. Chanel and Kiara came back and handed me my things and I put it back in my book bag for later. I packed all my things away and got up so we could walk around and mess with the teachers before school had started.
Me, Chanel and Kiara was walking down the hallway and I saw my ex boyfriend walking down the hallway. He looked me up and down while biting my lips and I rolled my eyes.
"Your eyes gone roll out your head if you keep on." He said grabbing my wrist.
"Ok you don't have to touch me to tell me." I said snatching my hand out of his grip.
He lightly pushed me against the locker and one of my headphones came out of my ear. I rolled my eyes and roughly pushed him off me.
"Go on, Malik. Nobody has time for your bullshit today, damn."
Chanel grabbed my hand and acted like she was having a conversation with me while pulling me away.
"Anyways, Ivory. She always act like she knows everything. She just needs to shut the hell up sometimes because nobody cares about her opinion." Chanel said. We laughed when we were far enough and had a regular conversation.
We went to Mr. Hitts class. He was one of the coolest teachers and gave better advice that the counselors here. He was in his late 30's and didn't dress like the teachers. He wore plaid shirts from American Eagle and tacky ties and Converse. He was by far my favorite teacher. He was laid back but knew not to let anyone run over him. Most teachers need to learn from him.
"Wassup Mr. Hitter." Kiara said, sitting on his desk.
"Hitts, Ms. White. Good morning to you, too." He replied putting his papers to the side and giving us his attention.
" Hi Mr. Hitts, how are you this fine morning?" I said sitting at one of the desks in the front.
"I'm doing great, and you, Ms. Love?"
"I'm doing alright."
Kiara and Chanel proceeded to joke around with Mr. Hitts while I was on my phone still listening to music.
"You guys know that there's a new boy coming here today, right?" Mr. Hitts said.
"No, who?" Kiara said.
"Well, his name is Jordan Knight and he's in you guys' grade. He has me fourth period and he had outstanding grades. I'm very impressed." Mr. Hitts said, looking over his grade and schedule.
"Oooh, let me see his schedule!" Kiara said.
I was interested in this "Jordan" boy. I might need to get with that. Smart? He must be cute. I bit my lip thinking about it.
