So I woke up the next morning to the smell of pancakes and bacon on the stove. I look over at Kayden who's sleeping peacefully so I get dressed and walk down stairs"morning mom" I say as I walk into the kitchen"how'd you sleep?" she asks "fine, can I help" I ask I remember when I was younger and me and mom were always baking

Ali/ What if I get shells in the batter
mom/ its ok we'll pick them out here I'll
show you how ready watch me *cracks egg*

"Sure I'd love your help just like when you were little" mom says "wait where's Lilly?" I ask "she's outside in the front, Why?" Her tone of voice changed right away" oh no" I start to run outside.I hear her start to talk but I'm running to quick to answer I open the front door and see the gate open"Oh no, LILLY" I yell, I run to the gate then look left and right but I can't see her suddenly I hear the screeching of a car stoping and run left."Oh Lilly,No" I see Little Lilly lying in the middle of the road, I check for a pulse. I sigh in relief when I feel a little flutter on the finger pressed against neck. I pick her up and walk home with her in my arms, Along the way she lifts her head up and licks the tears off my face. I get home and mom is on the front steps of the house. In tears I yell for mom to wake Kayden,she runs into the house and gets Kayden as she's doing that I make sure Lilly is stable and call the vet to tell her were on our way"oh no,honey what happened?" Kayden asks" no time to explain we need to go NOW,I'v already called the vet and she's ready for us"I say. So we get to the vet and they rush her to surgery.
