I was currently in my bedroom trying to focus on my essay for history, but all I could hear was the loud beat of the radio coming from my older brother Braxton's room. I slammed my book on the table and huffed over to his room.

"Braxton!" I yelled from the other side. I banged on his door for a good 30 seconds before it was flung open.

"What Sky!" he yelled impatiently.

"Turn your damn music down, unlike you I am trying to get an education!" I shot back. I heard snickers of laughter and peered past Braxton to see Blakley, Cassie, and Adam. Blakley and Cassie are the prettiest girls in school and Adam, he was a creation sent down by god. They immediately stopped laughing once they saw me glaring at them.

"Just please turn down the music Braxton," I pleaded.

"Okay," he sighed rolling his eyes and slamming the door in my face. I walked back to my room continuing with my essay. Before I knew it it was already midnight, my stomach growled indicating how hungry I was. I slipped on my pajama shorts and tank and walked out to the kitchen. Adam was facing the fridge as he was looking for something. I shyly walked over and looked in the cabinets for top ramen.

"Couldn't sleep?" he asked. Wait! Was he actually talking to me?

"No essay," I shyly said, " what about you?" I asked.

"Couldn't sleep," he groggily said as he pulled out the milk.

"The cups are in the cabinet closest to the dishwasher," I quietly informed him.

"Thanks," he smiled.

"Your welcome," I slightly smiled back. It was silent as we were both drinking and eating at the table.

"Your in my computer class right?" he asked breaking the silence.

"Yeah I sit across from you," I said as I took a bite of my top ramen.

"Oh yeah now I remember," he smiled. I nodded awkwardly as I pushed my glasses up. He laughed and finished off his milk.

"Could you help me with the essay in computers?" he asked while putting our dishes in the sink.

"Sure," I nervously smiled.

"Well goodnight....," he paused forgetting my name.

"Sky," I laughed.

"Wow, she laughs," he teased, "well goodnight sky."

"Goodnight Adam," I said as he disappeared into Braxton's room. I groggily walked back to my room and fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. I awoke to Braxton arguing with my mother about having girls over without permission. I silently laughed to myself as I checked the time, 7:00 a.m. I got up and took a quick shower, and changed into a gray romper and black high tops. I pulled my long blonde hair into a side braid and put on my glasses, my bright green eyes stared back at me in the mirror. I am such a nerd. I pulled my brown satchel onto my shoulder and walked to the living room. Adam looked me up and down and smirked.

"Where are the sluts?" I asked with attitude.

"They got a ride after mom got home," Braxton sighed. Adam looked me up and down one more time and I awkwardly smiled at him. He smiled back and quickly looked away. Well that was weird.
