Time has Escaped

We thought the gate was closed. We all did. Turns out, we were all wrong. Sorry, I should probably explain who I am. I have many names that my friends call me, but I go by Nate. I have seven companions who go with me on journeys. They are End, Trinity, Hunter, Cal, Nogi, Puppy, and Cubic. Trinity is the expedition leader. She is extremely courageous and has an attitude that will not falter. End is mysterious in the way that no ones knows who she is. She kind of appeared one day and Trinity said she was going to join us. Hunter was a soldier in the military. The Escopian military, that is. Or maybe I should say was, because Escopia has fallen to the kingdom of Haruth. Cubic and Puppy were scholars, so we have them for most of our knowledge. Cal was a writer, so he keeps track of our journeys. Nogi is Trinity's friend, so she went with us. We were all Escopian. We did nothing to those Haruthians, but they were power hungry and devoured every inch of land. It's been years since we were exiled after the war. I was only a kid. Do you know how traumatizing it is to see everything you knew and loved, burnt, killed, destroyed, and gone? Some people can say they do, and I feel sorry for them. I am now older and understand what's going on. Or at least I think what's going on. You're probably wondering about the time gates. Well, chaos and imbalance are taking over the world, and many believe it is due to the opening of the gate. When the chaos started, the Haruth Kingdom started gaining power and crushing civilizations who were weak from disorder. What does time have to do with this? Well, time keeps things steady, keeps people from being born too quickly and the death rate, and all of that. But the thing is, no one is being born, and no one is dying from old age. So it's an endless cycle of everyone living until disease, famine, murder, or whatever get them. So the human population is dying out. And so is the world. This may seem like a game, but it's life or death. Fine, we will call it a game. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the game of Time Gate.
