(From End's POV)
No one knows who I am. Nate has asked Trinity repeatedly, but has had no luck in finding out. I am really a merchant, but my situation is a lot more complicated than it sounds. When you travel a world of chaos, you can't help but screaming yourself awake in the middle of the night, thinking it's a nightmare. But really, it is real. I see people dying everyday and abandoned homes, villages, and even empires. I walked through the ruins of one of them. One of the things that caught my eye was a little wooden figurine that was shaped like a horse. It was most likely a little girl's. An innocent little girl, dead. Caught in the conflict that she could do nothing about. I kept the figurine to keep myself moving, to tell myself that evil is in this world. But unfortunately for evil, I never forgive until revenge is served. Evil took everything away from me. I plan to take it all back in the form of sweet revenge.
We were walking down towards the sands of the vast ocean. No one knows what the heck is on the other side. Maybe it's a place where the world isn't overrun by chaos and evil. But time affects everything within its reach, so my hopes are likely in vain. "Where are we heading to now?" I hear Nate ask. He may be childish and annoying, but at least he knows how to keep a group moving. He would tell the stories his parents told him. He said that he told the stories to "never forget". I assume it's the same way I never forget, we both want revenge. "We are heading towards the ocean village, Torian, where the Gate of Time is," Trinity responds. The Gate of Time. Interesting. I've seen the sacred village of Torian many time before, but other than the Gate of Time, there is just a market and the housing areas. We have plenty of supplies, so the only thing we are gaining by going here is checking on the gate. Which I hope is intact. If it isn't, we have bigger problems than supplies. We climb back on our horses and set off towards Torian, expecting to see the bustling market place. What we didn't expect was another burning ruin. "What? The guards should have been here!" Cubic exclaims. Everyone jumps off their horses and runs immediately to the gate. Please, let it be ok, please, please, please. And again, my hopes are in vain. It is ransacked and the gate is open. A strong wind wraps around the gate blowing in all directions. There's... there's someone else here! I turn around quickly to find a creature wrapped in shadow standing on the roof of one of the ransacked houses. "Welcome to the end of all," a voice says in my head, and then the shadow disappears. And then, I'm falling, falling, falling...
