The dogs panted in exhaustion as they walked into a nearby forest close to the city of NY.

They had been running and stopping to eat out of trashcans all day long and the fear of seeing the humans again finally calmed.

Home sat down with his friends, panting in exhaustion from the long tiring day.

He was about to send his dogs out to get some bedding, but then he noticed how tired they were and he decided that they could huddle up and sleep on the grass together as a pack.

Home laid down first with the youngest, Melody, curled up with Home around her. Then Lou and Default curled around Home and Melody and Lilith and Lion curled up around Lou and Default. Lilith and Lion were on the outside because they were the largest and had the thickest fur and had the most body heat.

After a few minutes they were all fast asleep.

(TimeSkip to morning)

The dogs woke up in their circle and yawned, stretching their legs and paws.

Home wagged his tail as he expected to look at the nice sunny sky, he looked up and froze.

The air was silent as the dogs stared at him, they knew that nothing spooked Home and that something was very very wrong about this morning.

The dogs looked up hesitantly and then they froze too.

The sky was dark, it was purple and black and just a mix of dark dark colors.

It just didn't look natural.

Suddenly the wind started picking up, and Home felt his fur ripple in the wind.

He looked at his pack, they were stunned in place and he had to bark at them to snap them all back to reality.

Melody whimpered and ducked under Lilith's stomach, her golden tail between her legs.

Lion let out a mix of growls and whimpers towards the storm, while Default and Lou tilted their heads curiously at the sky.

Home stared at the sky one last time and barked at his comrades, but paused when he saw a car shot past them from the wind.

His pack looked at him and he barked an order and started running and all the dogs followed him.

They stopped when they made it to an alleyway, the wind was really picking up now and the trashcans flew in random directions, hitting the walls of nearby buildings. Lilith and Lion dodged a trashcan that came straight at them.

The dogs had no where to go.
