One night sometime after Batman's 'death,' Terry McGinnis and his parents, Warren and Mary, took a shortcut through an alley. The family was ambushed by a pair of Two-Face's thugs, and Warren was killed. The thugs were stopped by a demonic bat-figure. Twenty years later, Terry, inspired by said figure, met an aging Lucius Fox, who revealed that Bruce Wayne was still alive. After months of searching, Terry found Bruce and his wife Selina hiding out in South Gotham. Bruce trained Terry, and with a new suit of armor designed by Lucius, Terry replaced Red Robin as Gotham's vigilante, and replaced Bruce as the Batman of Tomorrow...
