My name is Priscilla Sploosh. I am an inkling.
A weird race you know, considering we're half squid half human things...
anyway, ahem, this is the record of my life. Every note, detail, turf battle and whatever comes my way next will be recorded in my journal.

I looked up and notice the members on the subway. Some were reading magazines or listening to their MP3 players, but not the boy next to me. Sawing logs in my ear, he leaned his open-mouthed head on my shoulder.

Smacking me in the face with his blue tentacled ponytail, I shoved him away by his tan face.

He sleepily gazed at me and questioned my rude gesture.

I retorted sarcastically. " Now sir, I wouldn't have done that if you weren't drooling on my shoulder."

He yawned and stretched, showing his white front fangs.

"Yeah, sorry, had to come a long way to get to Inktropolis."

"Where do you come from?" I questioned.

He smiled." Humph, haven't made it into town and already making a friend."

I chuckled slightly." My name's Priscilla."

"Nice to meet you Priscilla, my name's Blu."

"That's cool that you're named after your tentacle color."

He nodded dazed in a slumbering trance.

"Well, Blu you may lean against my luggage and I will wake you when it's our stop."

He smiled." Really, that would be so nice."

Reaching on the other side of myself, I grabbed the one small bag I had brought from home and pulled it to the other side between Blu and I. He made himself comfortable and fell back asleep in a short matter of time.

I gazed out the window at the beautiful scenery as we came out from underground.

The train announced that we will be stopping at Inkopolis in twenty minutes.

A number of people checked their watches and turned back to their previous affairs.

The rest of the ride would be of no use writing for there was nothing to write about.

I dragged Blu off the bus, nearly knocking him into a lamppost.

He stared around, adverting his eyes from the sun.

I looked at him. He smiled at me as if I had known him for his entire life.

"This is so amazing!" He breathed.

I excitedly skipped down the road and gazed into a field a half mile off the way.
My body went still.

Blu was taking in the surrounding town,he didn't notice what I did.

"Oh my squash..."

"What?" He turned.

He half smiled." Cool."

"A turf war right before our eyes."

"That must be so fun!" He exclaimed.

I laughed and turned to the city, unaware of the future, uncertain of the people and unknown to what will happen next.

Blu must have noticed my anxious stare and playfully put his arm around my neck.

"Stick with me kid, this world is to big to go alone through."

I laughed and walked on, pulling him besides me.

"It's nice to have a new friend." I thought walking through Main Street.

Was he thinking the same, I wonder?

Of course, exhilarated, I assume. We wandered between buildings and alleyways, through shops and stores acquainting himself to people of all colored tentacles. Many I had never witness for my own eyes.

We came to an apartment complex with a large neon sign above it. Blu finally let go of my hand.

I blushed? No, I wouldn't say that,he wasn't paying attention to me any longer but at the building.

I looked to the left where a sign said open late Fridays.

"Good thing it's Friday."

He chuckled and went through the door with me close on his heels.
