A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where a man's mind can get both provocation and privacy. ~Edward P. Morgan

Chapter 1

~Swirls & Nooks~

The green meadows of Germany never change like when seasons come and go, like how the sun rises and sets, it seems nothing ever exciting happens. Grace wad perched high up in the small tree with the book she finished, a book about traveling to different places like America, Spain, China, Russia and France. She loves Germany, really she does but she feels the urge to go out and explore, to go to places; like how Asia is or South America, maybe Brazil! Now she just has to cope with the life of her own 'till she is ready for school, only one more week! She thought. As young Swank awaits for her father she raises her head to the small town below as the church bell strikes noon.

*♡*

The city couldn't be any nosier except noon. Sighing in her mother's art studio, sat Violetta. She is as young as Grace, waiting too to grow from the bustling city lights to bloom out to explore the world. Alas Violetta is poor, her mother and hard working father pour there hearts out just to earn "bread and butter" for their three hungry children.

Violetta sighed again before leaping from the wooden chair to run past the front door to reach the outside, she stopped short and looked at her bike then took a quick glance at her small apartment. Then after turing to her bike she nodded mentally, today she was going to do it to go to the book store to find "the book", the one that stood on the small podium in front of the small book store across town, she was going to do it.

Clutching her money earned by her parents she nodded again before taking off on her bike. The city was booming with people all around each corner, block after block cars kept pouring, to stop at home or grab some food before returning to work. Finally Violetta turned the last corner stopping the bike then rested it by the wall, she then made a quick glance to the book at the store window before walking into the store.

The bell rang as she stepped into the shop, she looked around to see a few people browsing. A small Mexican lady (judging by her accent) from the desk soon came into view with Violetta.

"Excuse me-" she asked smiling,"Do you need help finding a book?" Violetta nodded and responded, pointing to the store's window, "Yes I would like to by the copy of the book in the window, the book with the leather cover it is called A Tale of-"

"A yes, yes, yes. I know exactly what your asking." The lady replied, swatting her arms. The two walked to the front of the store, the old lady's wrinkled fingers grabbed the book, pulling it out gently from the podium. The two then proceeded to the desk to pay for the book. Then Violetta smiled looking at the book, her book; A Tale Of Two Cities.
