"The world is a book who do not travel read only one page." - St. Augustine

~Whenever lost follow the light~
Grace gazed up looking at the tall castle of Neuschwanstein. She looked around seeing the tourists loom in awe of the castle's power. Grace smiled seeing the many people laughing and talking. Wishing to be them, traveling to Europe the first time, having many traveling stories or fisherman tales, the bustling of an airport. Even the cry of an annoying child behind your seat on a plane. She really wanted to experience rhe excitment you get seeing someplace new for the first time.
Grace walked around the front porch day dreaming- imagine after hard dedication of work at school to get herself to study over seas. How lucky am I? To finally start living my life! Grace thought. The odd part about it instead of studying in England or European schools, Grace's parents decided somewhere else. Grace's mother didn't explain it she kinda just said they want her to go somewhere different.
New York City different
Grace remembered jumping with joy at the news. The big apple has been one of her most wanted travel destinations. She would be leaving in a week and live with the Carter family in Upper Manhattan's West side. She could hardly wait. She wanted so badly to study to become something her parents will remember her by. She still was unsure of what, but she was aiming towards becoming a scientist or business. She would only get to study a year then come home. A year is still a long time to explore, travel and learn so much. Grace sighed happily before beginning to pack.
Violetta stuffed her clothes to the brim, then with a grunt she sat on her suitcase, hearing it snap. She grinned before quickly running to take a shower. She massaged her scalp humming a tune. She hardly could believe she got accepted to go study in America. She worked all through high school and studied so hard and lost sleep nearly every day. She fought an conquered. Now she had all the more reason to become someone to make a lot of money, for her family and study hard. She was torn between picking science or music as her life long career. She zipped up her bag with some books to read on the way there. She was taking the first flight out to New York City to save money. Her parents were so proud and sibblings asking to keep her things.
"It's only un año mis hermanos. Necesito hablar english," Violetta was still practicing her english not use to the hard pronunciations. One year without seeing them would be tough. I need this though. She looked up at her globe poster, she then traced her hand over New York.
Grace stepped off the plane, holding her breath. Her eyes soaking up the crowded, loud LaGuardia airport. She walked over to one of the huge window panels. Sticking her face to the window, Fogging up the glass as she saw the epic skyscrapers. People speaking english and multiple languages, hot dog stands, and the subway. I. Am. In. NEW YORK CITY! Grace skipped to baggage claim and smiled all the way to the outside. Breathing in the night life. The lights twinkling all around her. She paused before setting her bags down. She plugged her pointer fingers in her mouth before whistling. I've always wanted to try that. A taxi came speeding down and she piled in.
"Where to miss?" The driver was quite young, he looked to be twenty-two. Grace gave him the address before once again looking out the window. Once they reached where the apartments where she noticed they all seemed different. Not one apartment looked the same. she squealed seeing it all, forgetting the driver.
"First time?" He asked, she nodded blushing a bit. She wasn't use to being around guys since her father forbid her to date. He then chuckled, causing Grace to blush more.
"You're going to love it," he promised looking through the rear window at her before he winked. She laughed.
Oh I know, she thought, I already am.
