It was 8 a.m, the birds chirping, the sky clear and the sun shining like a hot summer day.
The Asylum had full capacity, each parient with a rare unique story. Josh had lost her sisters in a plane crash so he stopped taking his squizofrenia pills turning him mad with sorrow. Hethal had been driven mad by depression hering the voices and talking with them making her want to hurt herself and others around her.
Then there's Alice, a sweet sweet girl with golden hair and sky blue eyes, she loved to read and to walk around the forest, until one day she fell on a rabbit hole and found a whole new dimension, or so she tells.
"Alice, dear, time for breakfast" nurse Elsa says, she's been working in the Roscourt Asylum for only three years but had come to learn that some of the patients were rather odd and intiguing.
She opens the door and places the tray on a little table each room had.
"I brought your tea" she says with a smile "Camomile, your favourite."
"The rabbit is late once again" she says, her voice peacefull and calm, looking at her pocket watch, although it was motionless.
"You know him, never learns to arrive in time" she says playing along, from all the patients Elsa considered Alice the worst, her hair was a mess, her clothes all dirty and her bloodshot eyes, like she hadn't been sleeping at all.
Alice goes closer to the tray and smells the tea. "Hatter would have made a better tea, perhaps this one would please the red queen." she states, it was like an insult she would always point out and soon after... "I WANT THEIR HEADS!" she blast out loud enough to startle the nurse everytime, it takes only a few seconds to make her ho back to herself, taking a small sip of the tea as she sat down.
A grey cat with white stripes climbs onto her lap purring as she pets him.
"Have you taken your pills today Alice?" she asks giving her a white plastic cup with a couple of pills inside, they were supposed to control her outbursts but they seem to not work for some strange reason.
Alice just looks at the cup and takes the pills sipping her tea after admiring the sun.
The nurse looks at her and leaves her be, Alice had premission to have her tea alone with her cat.
"Look Cheshire, the nurse thinks I'm keeping the pills" she says with a smile as she spits out the pills to the teapot, Cheshire snikers and waves his tail slowly.
Alice was indeed unique, her eyes showed a small innocent girl that did no harm, as soon as their eyes drifted below her nose they could see how the madness got to her, her mouth was ripped, torn to be a permanent smile, much like a Cheshire smile, she iften complained to the soft pillow-like walls how the rabbit was late, or how the mad hatter did a terrible job in his last hat, she once killed a blue butterfly stating that her smoking problems were annoying her.
Alice looks at the knife on the tray for spreading the jam in the toasts and smirks sideways with a simply twisted idea.
Soon she was sitting on her bed, her wrists cut open as she screamed for help, Nurse Elsa quickly showed up in her aid mending her wounds only to be caught off guard. Alice had grabbed her by the forehead her knife on her throat as she made the deep cut she says "Off with their heads!" loud enough to be cheers from the other cell mates as she smiles and laughed maniacly.
