It was later in the day when Jenna sat in the library. Feelings seemed tight between the girl and her butler. Well, since she figured out quickly that he had been jealous of the Earl and Demon.
Jenna could not talk because of the tension between the two.
Jenna was reading a story about "Manners" as when she tried to read one of those "Adventure" books, Azure silently took it from her and gave her this one. She didn't like it but it would do.
"Is everything alright, my lady? You've been oddly quiet." Azure said. His voice echoed the room.
"Im quiet because I'm reading." Jenna responded sternly.
"Your mind is wandering, my lady" He spoke with calmness,
Jenna did not look at her butler until he used his index finger to turn her chin, forcing her eyes to his icy gaze. Even though they where cold, the gaze seemed to stop her and burn her insides. His face merely inches from hers.
"Tell me what is wrong." He gently demanded.
Jenna couldn't seem to find the right words, but knew that she would have to speak at one point.
"I just can't figure out why..." Jenna mumbled.
"Let it be for a while. You will figure out why soon, my lady." He said, smirking as he let go of her chin and began to walk out of the room.
Jenna was once again alone. Alone with her thoughts.
--Jenna's POV--
Why is he acting so strangely?
That face made him look quite se-- STOP THAT BRAIN. He is my butler. No more no less.
But still... Why give his mistress a smug face like that?
Even Jenna couldn't understand. A shiver ran down her spine.
Did her butler think of her as something other than his mistress?
She put the manners book and grabbed the adventure book, "The Princesses of Gems."
At that moment Azure quickly walked in the room once again taking the book from her.
"Read the book I gave you." He said before quickly walking out. Jenna could see Sebastian snickering by the door. She gave a cold glance before sitting back in the chair. A book flew on the chair.
"Manners for idiots" It read.
"WHAT THE HELL AZURE!" Jenna yelled before Azure shut the door and 'walked quickly' down the hall. She held her head with her right hand. She heard something being smacked at the wall and heard Ciel scream "SHUT UP!"
"Sorry!" She yelled back apologetically. She gave a cold glance to the door. What the hell was that about? That wasn't the Azure she had known for two weeks. What was the tomfoolery going on with those two?
