Chapter 1

Chapter 1 -

Nicole's POV

" Oh my God!" I screamed shocked. " I got that many views?!" I shreiked jumping up and down. What in the world. My mom came running in the my room with a worried expression on her face.

" What happened sweety whats with all the screaming?" She asked looking around my room frantically for any sign of why i was screaming.

" Mom ? Why did you upload a video of me on youtube?! And when did you upload this?! " i said dramatically, while pointing to the screen on my laptop.

My moms eyes went wide and a grin immediately made its way on her face. " Surprise honey!!" She said giving me a tight hug. Ahhh too tight.

" uh , mom your kinda killing me here" i said searching for air.

" oh yeah, im sorry" she said smiling sheepishly , while moving her arms away.

" Mom , why'd you do that .. ? You know i don't like dancing or singing in public, and now its all over the internet.." I said pouting.

" I wanted people to see your talented sweety. There's nothing bad about showing people how amazing you are! Your talented , beautiful, gifted and many more. And look how many views and likes you've gotten! " she said pointing to the numbers and the bar of likes increasing on my screen.

"Well yeah but-" she cut me off.

" No buts young lady. Just be happy that you got all those views and you showed the talent i know you have to the world" she said getting up and kissing my cheek.

I sighed " okay if you say so..." I smiled weakly.

" yes honeey , now get ready for dinner , were having enchiladas , your favorite" she said , closing my door.

I slupted down in my bed and puffed.

Oh yes almost forgot the most important part.. I'm 17 , a junior in highschool, my names Nicole, i have one younger brother , and i live with both my parents. I have a dog as a pet named Daisy. I live in California. I have had a dream since i was little, ive always like singing and dancing, it was my passion. Not in public but in my room, in the shower , in the backyard. Only where nobody would see me because i was self- conscious of what people would think. I didn't think i was good enough to show the world my biggest hobby. Not even my friends knew about my dream is what was my secret. Obviously now they do since it was all over the internet.

I got up changed into some sweats and tied my hair up neatly. I can already smell the delicious salsa coming from the kitchen , making my stomach grumble with hunger. I patted it lighlty as if telling it to shut up, giggling at my weirdness after.

I closed the youtube tab on my laptop and shut it down. I put the laptop away in its bag, and shoved it where it belongs. I laid down on the bed closing my eyes slightly , waiting for my mom to call me to the kitchen.

After a few minutes she called me. I opened one eye first making sure she bad called me and i was just hearing things. I waited a while until she called me again. I shot out of bed stumbling at my quickness almost slipping with my slippers. Thankfully i grabbed onto the side of the bed keeping me balanced. I jogged my way to the kitchen sitting down next to my dad, while my brother and mom were sitting across us. I starred at my plate almost drooling. It looked so yummy... I could eat this anyday , everyday, all day, all - My thoughts were interrupted when my mom spoke.

" Nicole? Aren't you going to eat? They are going to get cold if you dont eat them. " she said giggling , eyeing me.

" oh haha yeah" i said slightly emberrassed. I began digging in.

" Aren't you going to tell your dad the surprise?" My mom asked with a big smile forming on her face. Oh gosh i had totally forgotten.

" oh yeaah, dad , i got over 9 thousand views on my video that mom posted, and almost 800 likes" i said happily.

" oh really? That's great sweety, im glad you got the nerve to show people your talent" he said smiling reashurringly.

"Yeah" i said finishing up my food. I picked up my plate, washed it and headed towards my room to shower. I quickly grabbed a towel and headed towards the shower. I stripped my clothes while turning the knob to the warmest possible.

After i was done, i decided i would go to sleep since i had school tommorow. I undid my bed and climbed in after brushing my teeth. I looked up at the ceiling thanking god for the happiness brought to me from all the views and likes i have gottenin just a few days. I turned around and shifted until i got comfortable huging my pillow and going into a deep sleep.
