Levi's POV

I sat in the dark alley, away from everyone else who would potentially bother me. The sky looked dark, and it slowly began to drizzle cold droplet of water. Closing my eyes, I let myself get lulled into a comforting daze by the rain's song.
Water drips from the tips of my now soaked jet-black hair.
--
Guess I owe an explanation, huh?
Well, after I died, I was sent to Hell and you wouldn't believe how much I hate it here!
There's only rock music, pedophiles and prostitutes here.. Those are just a few of the downsides to this place.
It's the filthiest place I've ever seen in my life, and that's not an understatement
To be honest, I don't even know why I'm here.
In my previous life, I was a babysitter who loved children and was in a healthy relationship: with my boyfriend.
I had two children, and I died giving birth to my third child.
--
I exhale as someone enters the alley, spots me, then wolf-whistles.
My eyes open, and I see some fuckboys approaching my spot.
"Hey, why don't you come over here and suck my dick like a good little whore?"
The guy's friends walk up to him, laughing obnoxiously and giving him high fives.
"Fuck off."
I really wasn't in the mood for dumbass brats right now.
"I could fuck you without you giving me permission, little boy. I could have you pinned beneath me, begging me for-"
Having heard enough from this sex-crazed fool, I launched myself off of the crate that I was sitting on and kicked him in the jaw.
The others watched in horror as I stomped on their friend's face, fleeing when I looked back at them with a calm expression.
You would think they would have fought back, but I guess they were too scared to face me themselves after they saw what I did to this unfortunate bastard.
--
I sighed, looking around before making my way out to the street.
When I walk on the sidewalk everybody moves away from me in disgust, giving me dirty looks.
I may be a demon, but I still hurts to be looked at in that kind of way.
It kinda reminds me of my previous life- getting bullied, abused, being looked at with such a deep hatred.
Shaking my thoughts away, I make my way to my favorite spot that I love to calm down at.
I diverted myself from the sidewalk, cutting through the dead grass and walking into the woods- getting closer to the boundary between heaven and hell. Spotting the familiar remains of an old shack, I allow myself to smile with relief before opening the old wooden door.
My eyes widened as I saw a man who reminded me of someone I missed very much.
He seemed to know who I was too, because he stumbled backward a bit.
"Levi? Is that you?"
His deep voice made me tremble, and I was so emotionally overwhelmed that I dropped to my knees.
I nodded, answering his question while sobs wracked my frail body.
"Er..Erwin-"
Erwin cut me off before I could finish.
"Why are you here? You're supposed to be on the other side of the wall!"
"I d-don't know!"
Now tears were streaming down my face like a river flows down a mountainside, and it was so hard for me to calm down.
I hadn't seen Erwin since I had died, and now, here he was rocking me in his arms like I would rock our children when they would get fussy.
"Come with me, then."
What was he talking about? Crossing over to his side was dangerous for someone like me- a mistaken demon.
"They'll just send me back! I don't think you want to go through that humiliation!!"
"I've got a plan."
He replied after a long period of silence.
"I've told God about how you're on the wrong side, and he agreed that you haven't done anything to end up here. He's agreed to give us another life, Levi! We'll be able to be born again!"
My jaw hung open as he informed me of his plan.
"Of course! Please, I just want to be able to have a family again!"
Erwin beamed, jumping up and bringing me with him.
He burst through the cabin's door with me still in his grasp and ran high speed to the gate.
Another familiar angel yelled for us to hurry before the gate closed, and we just barely dodged the fate of being decapitated of cut in half.
Hanji squealed, wrapping her arms around me and picking me up as if I weighed no more than a feather.
I hugged her back, trying my hardest not to start crying again.
A few tears escaped, but not too much that Hanji would notice through her joyous mood.
"There's a group of us that are going to be reborn, so we better hurry or else we'll be left behind!"
She tossed me into Erwin's arms and they jogged to a group of people surrounding what seemed to be a sort of well.
--
Erwin's soft blue eyes met my sharp grey ones and he smiled.
Moving some hair out of my face, he whispered, "We're going home, Levi."

We jumped, hand in hand, into the well that would lead us to our new lives and we promised that we would remember each other.
