PERCY Pov

     Me and Annabeth ran up to where we are sleeping and go changed, ran down then stairs and rushed out the door. Though we didn't make it out the door before Ms. Mc- Melissa, as she insist I call her by her first name, yelling after us,"Please be careful", the way she stressed each syllable seemed as if she was really worried that we would get hurt in the woods. Well I can't blame her, she doesn't know that we are trained demigods always ready for battle. Not to mention I'm invincible and I would protect Annabeth with my life. Though I wouldn't have to she is just as much of a demon as me when it comes to fighting. She doesn't know any of this, this thought came to me and I realized that it was gonna be a really long year. I have never had to hide what I am to the people I was living with. I didn't know about it when I was going to the various boarding schools, mom always knew, and the only other place I have lived at is a camp full of demigods. Why is my life so complicated?

Coming to the edge of the vast amount of woods laid out before us I am not able to stop fidgeting and fiddling with my new Pegasus charm, careful not to press down on it and accidently relies my power. Slightly bigger than the camp beads, it is set in the center of all the beads. The last bead pictures Festus, Leo's bronze dragon that he had apparently fixed up for the final battle, to remember Leo's sacrifice, around Festus are the names of The Seven, written in both Greek and Latin to symbolize the alliance of the Greeks and Romans. Some of the Hermes/Mercury campers suggested that they make at flame ball shooting up to tell how Octavian died, saying that it would cause a laugh for centuries. While I was admiring my necklace I hadn't realized that we were now standing just with in the boundary of Beacon Hills woods, me and Annabeth looked at each other and hesitated, not because of the supposed animal attacks, but because of what I was about to do. She beckoned me forward, she being the one who suggested I practice and hone my new power as quickly as possible. We walk a littlefuther into to the woods until we look at each other, both obviolsy thinking them same thing as we both shouted,

"Race ya" and started running.

Being the demigods that we are, we are definitely fast, how else would we get away from all the monsters that want some Percy and Annabeth stew for dinner? We ran for about 15-20 minutes until we came to a slight clearing and it had a small stream about an eighth of a mile away. I smiled at that fact and thought that I may just throw a certain daughter of Athena into that stream later.

"Well get on with it, press the charm", Annabeth immediately orders me to do. I just gave her my lopsided smile, hiding my worry, and looked down unto said charm. What would be the torso of the Pegasus seemed raised, I determined this is where I press down and I did just that. Why did I agree to this? As soon as I had pressed the charm, I felt what could be described only as power course though me as I've never felt before, the blessing of a god. My blood boiled at the start and as it cooled down I felt my bones ready to shift, My skin itching to change, every part of me was ready to become something else. All I could think about was that I hope I don't feel like this every time I relies my power, it's overwhelming. Annabeth's eyes were locked on me obviously seeing the discomfort that I was in, I must have been sweating or something like that to cause her to look at me with such worry in those stormy gray eyes. It may have even been a look of fear concerning me.

"Percy,......Percy......PERCY!", I finally snapped out of my stupor, she looked at me, and suddenly all the pain that was consuming just stopped and floated away, just not there anymore.
