Chapter Four

We got ready at Victoria's house since our was still piled high with boxes. Place me and Eva didn't want to wake our mom. She started her first day of her new job today she was probably exastide . She has been though so much the last few years. Her and dad where high school sweet hearts they fell in love in 10th grade. He was always there for her though her adult life plus she never had to work when he was around. Dad was a lawyer so we always had money. But when he went crazy we used all of our money up on finding the best help possible for him. And since he killed himself we didn't get any life insurance back to help us out. Ever since mom has done nothing but work. We moved down here because she got a job to work at a law firm as the assistant by one of my dads old collage friends who felt bad for us.

Who ever Luke song was his parents where loaded his house was hug it had a huge black fence around it. When you got onto the property there was a huge water foutain with two angels. The house had a tense court off to the side. It had columns lining the entrance to it there was music stream out from inside the house. The inside was even more grand then the out side there was a set of curved stares that looked like the ones from the castle in the Cinderella movie. There was multi color strobe light going in every direction. There was even a indoor pool crowded with people and in the center of the crowd a boy no older then me. He couldn't be that much taller then me ether he was muscular and looked to be Asian. And my guess was that this house and party was all his that he was Luke.

"Who is that is that Luke?" I asked Vic

She gave me a node but never looked at me she couldn't tear her eyes away from him it was as if she was in a trance. I waved my hand in front of her face she acted surprised when she finally was able to stop staring at him. "yeah sorry that Luke isn't he just so dreamy."

"Yeah. Dreamy. So what is this all how did he get all of this and who exactly is he? What in the world do his parents do to own what looks like a second white house?"

His parent are dead know one knows what happened to them not even he knows. This house is his sisters rumor has it is she some kind of model in Asia you know. But that's just a hole bunch of kids theory and you know how that works. You know what I think I think that she is a spy."

I gave Victoria a confused looked she just laughed at me. Hey look there's Thayer go to him talk have fun but not to much fun if you know what I mean." Vic said then left with my sister.

Thayer was just standing there alone he seemed like he was looking for someone. A girl walked up to him to talk and just as she came she left. He continued to scan the room until his eyes landed on me. He smiled then waved me over to him. I was so happy it was me he was looking for me. Before I even relised I was walking already over there next to his side.

" Hey there you." He said and handed me a drink. "So you came."

"Yeah I thought why not you know I have nothing better to do but sit around my house watch criminal minds and unpack. And besides for the criminal minds part that seems kind of dole and boring."

"So that's what pretty girls like you do all day nice to know."

" No just me most spend there time picking out wait they're going to wear the next day. And did you just call me pretty?" I couldn't help but blush at this.

"Oh so you rather watch people getting killed on tv then paint your nails? And by the way I did just call you pretty." He grinded at me. "You look amazing tonight."

Aw arnt you just so sweet. So what exactly is this? I asked while looking at the drink he just handed me.

"It's a lemonade wine cooler."

So its alcohol. What are you trying to get me drunk." I joked with him

" Definitely you know I may even have drugged that before you came over here." He was being sarcastic. He laughed at me as I took a sip of what tasted nothing like lemonade to me. I mad a horribly sour face.

"Lemonade. If that's lemonade then there is something horribly wrong with me."

"You never drank before have you?"

"Does the time me and my sister raided our moms liqueur cabinet count"

"That depends did you drink it and how old where you."

"8 and yes and I missed a week of school after that. My sister on the other hand didn't so much as flinch at the smell."

"I guess I will let that count but only because I'm felling nice and I don't think I have it in me to say no to you."

My stomach was churning with butterflies. Thayer really knows just what to say to make a girl happy.

"So at that I was wanting to ask you something."

"Yeah what?" oh my god was Thayer about to ask me out.

"I was wondering you know if you might want to go out some time? I mean only if you want to though what do you say."

All of the sudden there was a gun shot then another then the sound of tires racing out of the drive. I ran to where a man lay dead. A crowd formed around the body no one knowing what had just happened. Looking up I saw Luke and a strange girl atop of the stare case. There was a gun in the girls hand. She saw me looking at her then disappeared.

Thayer came up to me and asked if I was ok.

Yes I'm just so confused then I remembered my sister I didn't see her anywhere. "My sister where is she?"

Calm down wait here I will go look for her OK."

Yeah. Ok"

As Thayer left I noticed Victoria sitting in the corner of the room. I walked up to her she was saying something that I couldn't understand. She looked at me and said "They took her your sister she's gone they have her now. I'm sorry I couldn't help her. I tried but I was to late."

"what do you mean they took her omg did they take Eva did they take my sister?"

She looked at me eyes full of sadness and nodded her head.

Just them Luke from atop the stares started to talk he said he that he had called the cops and that they where on there way and that for everyone to head on home and get from rest.

Thayer found me on his way out with the others." I couldn't find your sister she probably just went home early or something. Come on lets go."

"No I'm staying" I looked up at Luke "I need answers but yo can go."

"I'm not leaving without you."

"Ok then help Victoria to her feet and fallow me." I walked up the stares into a room I saw Luke disappear into just moments before. The door was not locked. I entered the room where Luke and three others where waiting.
