Silent Moments

P A R T 1

Head down, don't speak, don't look at anyone.

Theia told herself, this was the only way for no one to notice her. This keeps her safe from her mother. No one would see her as long as she kept her hoodie on and minded her business. Theia was not one for speaking if she was to speak it was because she was told to.

In Theia's high school there were the same groups that all schools must have, the jocks, the nerds, the popular groupie, the rebels, the hippies, and a group that consist of all the above. Supposedly they're the most feared because they are everything in one and badass. Rumors had circulated around the school that they were a gang on the outside but what's high school without rumors? they have this motto: Only help those who can't help themselves.

So caught up in her thoughts, she didn't realize where she was going until someone knocked her down onto the floor. Theia looked up past her hood to see Anisah, the school's Queen Bee. Behind her, four other girls that looked like an exact replica of Anisah. Theia swallowed. There weren't many people roaming the halls right now. Most people were in class or in the cafeteria for lunch. She have never been more scared until this very moment.

The girls laughed at her as she stared back with wide eyes. She couldn't do anything, she was frozen waiting for what they had to say so I could go off.

Theia shoved the voice to the back of her mind right when Anisah spoke, "Ugh watch were your going ugly ass" she laughed "what a joke? right girls?" her minions laughed along with her.

"Look at what she's wearing," one of them said, the other four laughing while surrounding her.

"I heard she's a druggie, maybe you should join a rehab. You know so you can get better?" another said.

"Your probably a freak on the low. Girls you know I heard she gives the football team blow jobs,"

"Ya know the whole team has to be tested for Herpes,"

"Please stop" she whispered as her eyes became glossy as the crowd grew around to watch the attack on her. Many laughed and many just watched and didn't attempt to help her.

"They said she begged for more,"

"That's not true!" she said fighting to keep her tears in.

They all laughed at her pathetic attempt to defend herself.

People started screaming that she was sick and a whore. The world was spinning around her as their insults became more hostile, crueler, and louder.

"Well," a new female voice said from outside the big circle, "sucking dick for free with the soccer team was your specialty..." The crowd moved to reveal a set of three girls and a boy. Alexandra Rivera, smiling in front. "Isn't that right Anisah?" she said stopping in between Theia and Anisah.

The whole hall went silent, waiting for someone to say something. Theia darted her eyes, seeing that Xander White was now walking to her. She flinched away when he tried to reach for her making his eyebrows furrow.

"I won't hurt you, I promise. I'm just going to take you out of here" his husky voice spoke, Theia swore she heard angels sing. He reached for her arm, pulled her up, and pulled her out of the circle.

Once she was out Alexandra started to speak again. "So, how's the whoring business these days, Suckthemoff? Earn enough to pay off that boob job that you got last summer that your mom couldn't afford?" she said with a wicked grin.

Anisah's mouth closed into a tight line as the two other girls behind Alexandra snickered softly.

"It's Sokolov, Alexandra and you know it," Anisah spat, correcting the horrible name Alexandra gave her years ago.

Alexandra shrugged. "All I know is that you suck for a little green." She smirked, adding, "But you swallow for free." The two girls behind Alexandra, Vanessa and Monica, Theia, Xander, and Alex's boyfriend all burst into laughter at Anisah's humiliated face.

"I hope they gave her a discount" whispered Monica but said it loud enough for everyone to hear. "The left one looks a little fucked up if you ask me."

Several laughs went around them. Theia still wasn't sure what was going on. These were the "Colors". Everyone feared them, even the populars. Their arrival wasn't exactly a relief because all Theia knew was that their insults could go straight towards her. So she kept her mouth shut even when Xander pulled her more towards him and Alexandra's boyfriend and his brothers.

Last thing Theia knew chaos began.

Alexandra punched one of Anisah's minions starting a fight that ended up with the group on the floor. Theia gasped when she witnessed Alexandra kick one of Anisah's minions in the vagina.

The next thing she knew, teachers were coming and the "Colors" and Theia made a run for it along with the rest of the student body.
