chapter one

I silently shut my locker hoping the crowd out side crowded around a pour defensive little 13 year old girl sitting on the ground drinking her own blood wouldn't notice me. I cringe at the sight of her spitting out the red liquid all over the cheerleaders new uniforms so what does the head cheerleader do? She smacks Penny across the face making her fall to the ground. I hate high school so bad especially this one maybe I can  lie to my parents and tell them I made a new friend and maybe we can move! I walk by the door with my squeaky shoes squeaking as I walked I try to hurry by when someone grabs me by the hood of my jacket and slams against a locker. I look into the eyes of Sally Kirk the meanest girl here she still had the read liquid on her outfit. "Please let me go", "No sugar I whish It worked like that but it don't I know you seen that out there and if you dare tell anyone"....... I shorten her sentence, "What you'll pound me in the ground, sure go ahead because I'm tired of how you think you own this school", her eyes grew a darker color of green, "Girls you heard her come up here". I seen four other girls come and stand by her, "Really 5 against one I think we can do better than that"? She threw a punch in my way but I ducked making her slam her hand against the locker yelling, "I BROKE A NAIL THIS MONSTER MADE ME BREAK A NAIL GET HER NOW BEFORE I DO, I NEED A NEW NAIL, GIRLS ATTACK", she examined her nail and then cried a little and turned toward me looking mad...

I kicked her in the face and took off running slamming my book bag on the ground and ran for out side when one of her girls attacked my sending me hitting my jaw on the ground. I lay there in pain she turned me over on my back and was about to punch me when someone picked her up it was the principal. "All of you report to my office and when I'm done with you Paige Bennett someone's here to see you well actually to take you away, Penny you to come along", I walked by Penny as we walked to the front office I held my arm in pain It felt so good to kick her I mean she deserved it, she opened the door and lead us into her old dusty office she sat us down. "Who started it"? They all begin to talk at once when she blew her whistle, "SHUT UP, now Paige talk", I cleared my throat. "I was walking by when I seen them being mean to Penny Allison so as I walked bye Sally grabbed me by the hood tried to punch me so I ducked and kicked her in the face", "Is that all"? "Yes mam". "Sally is that true"? "Yes mam", "Paige and Penny go please", as I got up I walked away I heard my name being called I turned around, "Yes mam"? "Wait in the back office by the garden I'll be there". "Okay". I opened the door and headed straight to out side and walked across the lawn and shut the door tightly behind me.

"Paige". I turned around and seen a familiar voice, "Grams what are you doing here"? I hugged the old lady who's eyes were red like she been crying. "Gram what's wrong"? I held her shaky hand as she looked  down at the ground. "Miley", "My mom what about it"? "She is gone". "What do you mean gone where is she"? "I got a call from her work she dint show up for work and they asked if it was okay if they could send someone over there to search". "What did you say"? "Honey please I'm as nervous as you are, of course I said yes she wasn't there". I looked into her eyes, my mother Miley was missing. "Oh where will I"? "With me and your grandfather", I stood there in shock "Why are we standing here when she's gone"? She looked out the window as the Principal Martha walked across the lawn and opened the door and walked in with a warm smile. "Hello I'm the principal Martha, you must be Molly", she shook my grams hand and looked at me. "Do we need to get her books?, I mean what is this about"? My grandma wiped away a tear. "Her mom went missing this morning after 10:00 and they have yet to find her they think she's dead". The principal looked at me. "Do you have any books in your bag there"? She motioned toward the bag, "Yes mam not a learning book just a library book could I bring it back when I get done reading this one"? "Yes well I'm terribly sorry about Miley, please let me know if you find her she was one of my best friends in school ". "Okay we will, well better get going". My grandma let ago of my hand and the principal hugged her. "I'm really sorry".

As we walked away I noticed she had a evil smirk on her face but when she seen me looking she wiped a fake tear away. I got in the old  car and buckled up she barely got in on the other side she threw her cane in the back and buckled up while looking in the mirror fixing her hair.

"I never liked her so fake". I laughed as we pulled out of the parking lot and headed up the high way going to the air port. "Don't we need to get my stuff from home"? "It's already there", "But how"? She looked in the mirror and pulled over to the slow lane. "I have my ways is anyone coming"? "No". She pulled back over to the fast lane the she was going 120 miles per hour I held on for my life, "Gram slow done". "Sorry Hun flight leaves in 2 minutes so hold on we ARE ALMOST THERE". She slid in the parking lot and slide into a perfect place she grabbed her cane and got out. "Come on 59 seconds". I jumped out of the car with my book bag and hurried to catch up to her as my heart beat slowed. "How's your car going to get there"? "Already there", I looked back and the car was gone, how could it just disappear like that?

We entered trough the gates and she ordered out tickets. as we climbed onto the plane I asked the question I should have asked before. "Where do you and grandpa live"? She looked back to me and smiled. "Washington D.C". I smiled as I took my seat and finally once in my life relaxed.

chapter two

I woke up to the announcer.  "We will be landing in 25to 15 minutes, I smiled as I looked down and seen the white house. I checked my phone one last time and turned it off no text from mom, "Hun she probably wont text they found her phone there it's in the lab running test to see who else touched it". I looked at my grandma, "There going to call right when they find out something"? "I pray they will". I clutched my bag as the plane landed earlier than usual. She looked at me. "Grammy don't worry they will call". She patted my head, "Always like your mother you always look on the bright side"! I looked at the old woman who was my great grandma. So far in the last few hours I have meet her figured out that my mother is probably kidnapped by my father, I learned that I have to stay with her and grandpa until the found her could this day get any worse?
