After officially getting a pass and having my name registered I walked out of the office and out into the peaceful town. As soon as I did I notices that everyone was looking at me. So I kindly smiled at them and walked towards the village leaders hut.

Making my way down the dirt road I looked around and saw houses made out of stones with a straw roof which is to be expected from a medieval world.

I reached the village leaders house but I noticed that it was like all the other houses. It was a one floor house, made out of stone with a couple purple flowers sitting out on a window. I knocked on the door and waited a couple of moments before and old looking man with the body of what used to be a warrior.

"Hey the sir umm I had my stuff stolen by some bandits and I'm wondering if you have any jobs for me or a place to stay."

"Hmm... a Tarkan..?" Mumbled the old man before continuing "sure kiddo, you can stay with me for now but I'll be sure to make you work extra hard"

"Yes! Thank you very much sir, I appreciate it."

"Well don't just stand there come in son" said the old man as he gestured me inside "my name is Roland by the way what about you?"

"Ah my name is Draco Orythius from Tark" I said while extending my hand. He shook it and said.

"Well Draco, you can sleep on the couch, it ain't much but it should do. Also we're the only ones here sadly my wife passed away so you'll be doing her share of the chores. Understand? "

"Yes sir, and I'm sorry for your loss" I said with serious face.

"Enough with the formalities boy, we're family from now on."

"Thank you very much Roland" I said with a thankful smile.

"No problem kiddo, now what we need to do is get you a job to help out there ain't gonna be no moochers in this household. So how about we start with a simple question, what are you good at?"

At that moment am image of the zombies being blown up popped into my head. I couldn't possibly tell him that because them he'll know my story was a fake.

"I'm pretty good at hunting" I said, even though I've never been hunting the closest thing to me hunting was watching Alaska the last frontier on t.v.

"Oh a hunter... well tarkans are known for their incredibly heightened senses."

"Well you can start by going to the towns blacksmith and tell him that Roland said to let you borrow some hunting gear."

"Ok" I replied as I walked out of the house, but quickly returned as I realized something.

"Where's the blacksmith again?" I said half laughing and embarrassed.

"Walk straight to the left and keep going till you see the bakery shop and take a right then you'll see a sign"

"Alright thanks I'll be going now, bye"

"Take care"

I nodded and walked out. As I closed the door behind me I looked to the left and walked straight ahead remembering the directions that Roland gave me. I looked around to take in the scenery and it truly did look just like in the video games.

I spotted the bakery shop and turned to the right at a cross section. I quickly spotted the blacksmith sign a couple of blocks away with my heightened eyesight. Damn ain't this something.

When was finally in front of the blacksmith shop after the short walk. I pushed the door open slowly and I heard the nostalgic door bell sound that stores had back in my world. Once inside the first person I saw was a huge dark skinned man with a rock like build. He had no hair and he had a brown apron halfway with a, what used to be, white shirt.

He looked up at me and when our eyes met for just a second he was surprised, but he quickly shook it off.

"Hey boy I hear you're the new mysterious guy everyone is talking about"

I just got here how does he know--

"Word travels fast here"

Before I could ask he answered.

"So Roland said I could get some hunting gear from you" I said somewhat hesitant.

"How, did he know?" He said in a half joking half serious manner.

Shit right now I look like someone trying to use the village elder to get something for free.

"Umm well look you can ask him yourself if you want I just came from his house." I said pointing towards where I came from.

He stared at me for a while before finally saying, "no I believe you, here follow me I have an old hinting gear I'll take your measurements and fix it for you" he took me to a back room and started taking my measurements. After 10 long minutes he finally said, "alright come back tomorrow first thing in the morning".

"Alright thank you" I said them he asked a question I always have problems with in video games.

"What kind of weapon do you use?"

Ummm what should I use.

"I use daggers mainly but I always carry a short sword just in case."

"Alright then" he walked to the back of the store and soon after came back with a short sword and two daggers. "Here they ain't much but it's the best of the best around here." He said handing the weapons over to me. I took them and thanked him before walling out of the store.

I need to go back to Roland's and grab something to eat, I'm starving. I wonder what type of food there is in this world. OK so take a left here and keep walking straight. I want some food-

I felt something... like a very strong bloodlust aiming towards me. I need to be careful. I start looking around trying to remember the location where I felt all that killing intent came from...to my right, two guys following me.

"Hey Tarkan, hold up we wanna talk to you."

I stopped without looking at them, and I saw that the people around us were starting to look at us.

I slowly turned around and answered him. "Yes?"

"We want you out of our town...like now, so please leave peacefully before things get...bloody"

"Well no can't do sir, you see I just got these new weapons here and I'm about to get some hunting gear, I couldn't possibly leave right now." As I said that I could see the man on the right getting red from anger. He was a big man with a good muscle build, blonde wavy hair, blue eyes, and most of all he had a sword on him. It was a short sword just like mine but more beat up. He then took a couple of steps closer to me so I stood my ground and stared him and at the same time I pictured him being beat up by me... and I guess that released some killing intent because the next thing I knew was that the man was quivering and backing away from me.

"May I go now? "

"..."

"Thanks" I smiled and walked back towards Roland's house, leaving behind the thug and the people staring in awe.
