As the rain tapped the windows, I couldn't help but feel as if the whole room had been over come by guilty thoughts and feelings. True that Luce's death was the tragedy of all tregedys in the Moore house, considering she was so close to us all, yet we could never get her far away from that darn husband of hers. Now, let the man rot in jail for the rest of his sorry life.
To be as honest as possible, Luce was a pretty girl. Was only barely twenty, with long silky blond hair my mom would kill for. And it was a surprise to find out her husband was cheating on her....with a guy. And the dumb women never left him, which is why I, Nathaniel Marvin Lee, am scribbling in this here notebook.
I was named after my father, Lee, who had died when I was four. I was an only child then. My mother, a wonderful naieve women, was devastated, considering he died by tripping on one of her stilletoes down the stairs and breaking his neck. Yeah, a pretty tragic and....morbid death. Poor ole mom, I thought she'd just...die. But, she didn't. As a matter of fact, here she sits, on the couch, next to me, crying and sniffling over yet another loss.
Just so you understand, I'm not near as heartless as I know I'm coming off to be. In all honesty, my eyes burn with tears that I refuse to shed, because I have to be strong for everybody. For Martinie.
Martinie is a sweet, shy girl who didn't have alot of friend, besides me and our closest comrad Faith. Martinie was a small girl, with short pixi like black hair, and a figure like the old coke bottles. The only think you could notice from a distance is her striking light blue eyes. But, compared to Faith, she wasn't so angelic. Faith is a brunette, her hair fell snuggly to her shoulders. She was amazingly out going, funny, and...down to earth. Every guy she comes across are immediately hooked on her bubbly personality and green eyes.
Little petite Martinie grew up and only child, raised by a lonely single mother. They weren't rich, but made enough to get by and then some. Her mom grew up in the city and moved to the country when she became of age. She met Martinie's father at the local super market, had a one night stand, badda bing, little Martinie was on the way. Yeah, not much of a story, but it's all that is necessary.
Faith, on the other hand, is something else. Faith grew up in a foster home with foster parents who
A: Were rich
B: Didn't give a rat's ass about anything
C:Had a very high popularity level. Faith's foster mom was always drinking some kind of wine and injecting herself with whatever her husband snagged from the hospital. She O.D.d three years ago. Anyway, after the foster mother died, the foster father, John, had become a little to clingy. Faith was the oldest female in the house, and John liked that, so Faith had alot of....screwed up nights. The other girl, Kate, Faith lost contact with after she had gotten emancipated. It doesn't bug her much, they were never close.
So, eventually the three of us met at a summer camp back in sixth grade, and Faith moved in with me and my mom. After Faith come Luce, Faith's first true love. Martinie and I were two feathers in the same bird or whatever the saying was. As weird as it was to others, Martinie accepted Faith and Luce's relationship. Martinie accepted alot of things. She was laid back, which is one of the many reasons why I love her! Erm....Anyway, that's basically our lives spelt out up until now. If you haven't already figured that out.
Martinie held Faith in her arms to comfort her over the loss of Luce. Once her husband found out about the relationship...he went crazy. Though, I don't really get why, wasn't it he who had done the same to Luce?
