Summery: What are you suppose to do when your significant other's hiding a violent secret right under your nose?

On a side note: I'm curious to know if anyone would be interested in seeing more between Alic and Naomi, what scenes you'd like to see between them, questions and if you have the time, a critique would be nice :) Thank you

Original Characters: Alic Vassier; Naomi Flynn; Sarren Hone

"Alic! Get back to work!" The female voice echoed through the foyer and nearby rooms in the castle.Naomi looked up from her sketch book from the parlor on the first floor and sighed.

"Again?" Usually Sarren's able to get Alic back to work whenever he gets bored and wanders from his work which is more often than most would think. A sociopath's ability to focus on something for a long time without being bored is fairly short and the more frequent they do it, the shorter the focus span.

"Leave me alone, woman." Alic deep, semi-English accent was in a strained calm voice as he sped walked down the foyer stairs. "I'll get back to it later."

"You can't do it later, you already procrastinated three day worth of work away." She continued to bicker at him as she chased him, having to jog to keep up with his long strides.

Their voices faded in and out of Naomi's ear shot as Alic was walking about the castle trying to avoid the girl pursuing him. It was mostly Sarren yelling at Alic and him just ignoring her or telling her to go away.

"You're a duke!" She yelled at his back. "You're suppose to be responsible, not waiting until after the deadline's passes and have me on pins and needles trying to cover your ass!"

"Then why don't you just quit?" He asked turning around suddenly, Sarren realizing too late and bumping into him. "If you hate your job so bad then just leave, I don't need a sitter." His white-blue eye locked onto the woman's brown ones.

"It's not that I hate it, Alic."She explained, sending him a glare. "You...put so much stress on me with your procrastination, sending me off to spy on people while at the same time being your secretary and ignoring the appointments I planned for the day." Her face grew red as she yelled, Alic just looking down on her with no response.

"Sounds like a personal problem."Turning on his heel, he walked down the hall, leaving a surprised Sarren behind him.

Setting her sketchbook down with a sigh, Naomi went to the door and stuck her head out of the parlor. Alic walked past the door as she opened it, watching him head towards the foyer stairs. She didn't think he saw her since she was on his left side where his hair covered his blind eye.

After watching him climb the stairs and head down a hall, where she then heard his study door closed, she looked over to Sarren who was heading down the hall towards her. Closing the door, she hoped the brunette didn't see her, going back to her previous activity. Her hope was in vain when Sarren opened the parlor and let herself in.

"Can't you get him to stop messing around and do his work?" Sarren sat next to the blonde and leaned forward, resting her face in her hands.

"Alic knows what he's doing."Naomi commented back, going back to her drawing using her curled up knees as a desk.

"No, I don't think he does."Sarren lifted her head and looked at Naomi. "He thinks the world's suppose to feed out of his hands no matter what he does. Just talk to him."

"He's not going to listen to me, either." She didn't look up from her drawing.

"What a load of BS and you know it." Sarren glared at the blonde. "You're the only one Alic listens to. You can get him to at least finish today's deadline." Naomi tapped the end of the pencil against her lips.
