It has been 8 hours and I called into work explaining what happened, but my boss was not happy by the news I gave her. The doctors have not released any information yet. 10 minutes passed by, Lilly's Doctor came up to me and asked if I was family to Lilly. My prayers were answered, and Lilly was ok, even though she will not be able to walk for 2 weeks. He allowed me to go see her. I really did skip to her room, since I was happy to finally see her again. As I was about to walk in, a doctor came out and we bumped into each other. He ended up dropping his folder with a lot of papers, but I did help him. As I helped, I saw his name tag and it said "Damian". I thought the name really did fit him. "Sorry", he said, in the quietest, most adorable voice. "It's ok," I replied. I walked in and gave Lilly THE BIGGEST HUG as she got ecstatic when she saw me enter.
We talked for what felt like a month, but probably was just 30 min. We accidentally fell asleep. Once I almost fell out of my chair, I finally woke myself up. I got up and stretched but was interrupted by a big thud. It woke up Lilly as well, and she almost fell out of her bed with the loud noise. "Calm down, it's ok. Look I'll go check it out, and in case you see a doctor come in, his name should be Dr. Damian ok?" She just nodded but froze when I handed her a gun. As I was walking out, I heard her faintly say, "please be careful". I nodded and headed outside.
I turned the corner and accidentally bumped into Dr. Damian who caught me by the waist before I fell on top of him. He started blushing as he helped me stand up again. "I'm so glad it's just you, what was the sound you made?" I asked. He looked confused and asked, "I thought that was you". That's when I froze with a straight face and asked him, "well are you the only doctor working tonite?" He replied with, "well no, but the sound was too near. Plus all the others are on the other side of the hospital, which wouldn't make the sound too audible". I then stood silent for a few seconds. I then told him, "look, that means we could be in danger. I would like if you went to Lilly's, my sister, room to just be there to protect her in case anything happens. I have her gun so you should be able to use that as a defense weapon". He nodded and headed towards the room. I breathed in deeply and kept walking, now with my gun on the ready. As I grew more quiet, I heard more grunting behind the check-in counters. Once it grew louder, the monster finally rose up and threw itself towards me. With my fast reflexes, I jolted to my left, luckily landing on an armchair. Once it got up, "it" turned out to be a female. She looks as though she hasn't feeded from any human for months now. I could tell the rage and pain she must be going through and honestly felt bad for her, even if it's trying to dry me out. She circled me for a moment until sprinting towards me. I shot her in the head 2 times. Falling down with a thud, I broke one of the legs off of the nearest table, and I stabbed where the heart was located. She squeled for a few seconding until finally turning into dust. As I got up, I felt a cold hand placed onto my right shoulder and threw me back onto a painting, shattering he glass that was placed over the frame. While one of the pieces of glass cut me, I got up with no pain and got ready as the vampire sprinted towards me. I got out my backup knife I keep in the inside pocket of m jacket and used it to stab into her eye before, using the same table leg I used to stab vampire #1, driving it into her heart. As she fell down slowly, I jerked out the leg.
Once I catched my breath, I finally decided to run back to Lilly's room to check up on her. Suddenly, I hear a gun shot. This makes me all of a sudden full on sprint towards the room. Panicking, I kick the door open while yelling, "PDDP GET DOWN NOW!" I saw that there was a black figure close to the window holding someone. It couldn't have been Lilly, since she was still on the bed. Dr. Damian wasn't to be found. OH NO...she had him! As she slowly turned around, I saw his face as she choked him while holding him. "Well isn't this a twist, the doctor ends up dieing," she says. "Too bad it isn't you, or your pathetic little sister". She walks closer to Lilly's bed. "It would be a shame, however, if something were too happen all of a sudden". "Don't you think? Now you will surrender to the underworld as now you must learn that vampires will take over all humans". She kept walking around the room. She finally put down Damian and said, "I don't need him, he served no value". "However, I have never tasted the blood of a Dractulatarian (her last name) before, so why not now"? She walked towards Lilly's bed, but stopped as I shouted, "please, drink from me but just don't drink from her!"
She got up and went towards me. Once she was eye level close, she took me by the arms and positioned me where my whole neck was exposed. I saw as her fangs grew out of her mouth, and as she sinked in her fangs, I had enough time to get my special gun. You see, to be a detective you must ALWAYS be prepared. For any situation, no matter what. So I got my mini gun that was loaded with silver bullets. I got it ready, which with the sound it made got the vampire to get up and stop drinking from me. I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger, as it shot her in her lower stomach. She fell back before falling onto the floor and turning into dust. I relaxed and ran towards Lilly, who pulled me closer to her for a hug. As we ended our hug, we yawned simutaniously and laughed. Dr. Damian got up and said, "are you both ok?" We nodded and that was his call to leave the room. We giggled.
I was growing more and more tired. As well as Lilly. So we decided to sleep for the hours we had left before 7 am, which were only about 5 hours. I felt so tired, more than before. Even after our sleep, I had more trouble getting up than the girl who will need assistance when getting up after just sitting down. After getting all the required medication for Lilly, thanking the hospital for saving her, and saying goodbye to Damian, we won't outside to the car. For some reason, I felt as high my legs were going to give out while going down 4 steps. Lilly began to get more and more worried, as she ran back into the hospital to get some help. I began to grow weak to the point where I couldn't stand. Everything began getting dark. What's happening to me?
