Festival 2

{Tama's P.O.V}

The laterns glow lighting a pathway through the darkness. There aren't many people here this year, it's usually packed but it shouldn't matter because that means there'll be more food for us.

We split up into two groups Laito goes with Yui and I go with Subaru. The first place we head is the food stands, they're all grouped together which is to our advantage so we don't have to travel halfway across the festival.

Subaru buys me some takoyaki, cotton candy, and a candy apple. I can tell he's sweetening me up so my blood will taste good. What a suck up, get it? Suck up?!

I choose to eat the takoyaki first because it's better while it's hot. I feel Subaru's cold gaze on my while I eat. Surprisingly I'm not uncomfortable. I actually feel the most comfortable around him.

Once I'm finished eating Subaru and I walk around playing the festival games. We're going to have to have a cart to carry all the prizes we've won.

I wonder how Yui is doing. She didn't seem so happy about being with Laito. Now that I say that, who would be happy with Laito? I'm not trying to be mean, it's just that he's well, it's difficult to explain.

A kind volunteer gives us a bunch of bags to put our prizes in. The gods have truly blessed us with these nice people. As well as I remember everyone was nice in our hometown.

There wasn't any bullying or crimes committed in this area, or atleast dangerous crimes. The worst someone has ever done is stole a candy bar from the convenience store.

I take Subaru's hand dragging him up a mountain. He clearly isn't having fun, "Where the hell are we going?!" He questions me irritatedly.

"You'll see~" I chime happily, we reach the top and the view is still ever so beautiful. Fireworks start shooting up into the sky and exploding making colorful images.

Subaru seems amazed by this sight. Don't tell me, has he never seen fireworks? Well that's just sad, I'm glad I got to show him this magnificent view.

I spot Yui and Laito down in the crowd. They're in the third row and Laito is holding Yui up to see better. Is it bad that I might start shipping my sister with him?

"Hey, don't you ever feel like, the world doesn't exist. That everything that's happening is fake? That all the other humans in the world are just illusions." I ask Subaru curiously. He just stares at me with no sign of emotion.

"Yeah, I feel like that all the time." I hear him mumble. I turn my head towards him and then take my fingers and force a smile on his face. He looks at me confused and clearly angered.

"Show some emotion won't you?! Try to act more human like! Like me, I'm a great example of acting like a human even though I am a human." I say smiling while looking into his eyes.

Subaru slowly removes my hands and the weird thing is he isn't letting go, "Tama, I'm a vampire."

"I-I know that but if you want to blend in with us then y-you need to act more human. Ugh! Why do you have to be so intimidating?!" I say nervously, a smirk appears on his face.

"Why do you have to be so cute?" Subaru places a kiss on my forehead. Blood rushes to my cheeks and I turn the other way quickly not wanting him to see my embarrassing state.

My phone vibrates and it seems that Yui and Laito are ready to leave. I take this chance to dash away from Subaru. He picks up the bags and then disappears.

I arrive at the limo and Subaru is already here. Stupid vampires and their vampire powers, can't they just suck blood and hypnotize instead of being able to teleport and run fast.

I sit close to Yui during the whole ride home. I'm starting to feel my body heat up and my heart beat fast when I'm around Subaru now. I need to keep my distance or else things could get worse.
