Charlotte's P.O.V.

      Oh sixth grade, it all began when I sat next to him. We were both in the same group in the classroom's seating chart. He looked really shy, and so fragile that you can easily break him apart. There was other people in our group, which helped us start conversations and communicate. I didn't know anything until what my friend told me. Isabelle told me that, well... Ryan had feelings for me. I knew she was trying to protect me, like she always does. I didn't believe it at first, because as the days passed by as I sat next to him... He didn't seem to feel like that but more casual.

When we had those times together, I discovered that me and him had alot in common. Literally...  We both had the same birthdays, favorite instruments and music that we liked and knew how to play. Everyone in the table assumed that we both liked each other. I'd see him get flustered to this.

But then everything changed so fast, like it was yesterday. He suddenly confessed to me, not in person, but on text messaging. I read through his long message, confessing that he liked me. As a crush.
I was really flattered but I didn't know what to say. I never really fell in love with someone, and I didn't want to make him feel bad because... He was a really great friend.

But I rejected him anyways ... I've tried my best to put it through the nice way. And ever since that, we became distant.

---

After sixth grade was over, I didn't end up in the same class with him anymore. We couldn't see each other more often like we used to. He changed this year, despite his voice getting lower and his height was growing taller. We still talked on kik, but not much on real life.

"Hahaha!" The new kid laughed as he kept poking me on the shoulders. Trying to make fun of me... It wasn't Ryan who sat next to me anymore but instead this guy. Mark.
"Quit it." I tried to stop him from annoying me so much. I couldn't concentrate on the lesson we're learning in the Math subject.
"You're not the boss of me!" He continued, ignoring what I just said. I laid my head on my desk, and groaned. This was great! I can't stand Mark bugging me every second, I would have punched him if I wanted to. But I guess he was alright for an only friend in class.

Immediately after class, I headed outside for break to see my friends. Yeah, that's right, my REAL friends. I'm talking about Isabelle and the others. Isabelle was like the best-est friend I have ever had. We were BORN together as best friends. She was really the type of person that could understand me the most. She had Raven black silk hair that was trimmed short, black squinty eyes with the tint of brown, and normal glasses.

"How was class?" She would ask me, and I gave her the look that says it-was-horrible...
"The new kid drives me nuts!"
"What new kid? The one that's following you over there?" She pointed to Mark who was staring right at us behind the basketball court.
"Yeah him." I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe he likes you! I bet he's stalking you haha!" Isabelle teased and gave a giggle. I rolled my eyes again, but then I glanced over to Ryan.

He was hanging out with Justin as he usually does on his school life. I realized he became more social, and he was able to smile more. Why was I thinking about him? I couldn't help it, he was one of those who made school more fun and interesting honestly. A part of me wants to be with him. His matted black hair was still the same, and his dark brown eyes reflects on his glasses.

"Hey Cherry!" Isabelle called to me which snapped me from my thoughts. "Mark over here is calling you!" So I looked at him, wondering what he wanted.
"Cherry.. want to be friends?" He managed to request, without bullying me this time. I nodded. But then I felt my wrist being pulled behind me, so I turned around to see Ryan dragging me. My eyes gleamed to this, I felt something I never got to feel nowadays. I heard him huffing under his breath, he must've ran here. Ryan started to hold my wrist tighter as we walked further away from Isabelle and Mark.

~~~~~
We stood at the grass, to where his friends were like Justin and them. I couldn't imagine why he did that.
"Ryan.. Are you okay?" I questioned him, but he hid his face by looking down with his hair covering his eyes. Is it possible that he... wanted to be friends?
"I-.. I don't know.. I just automatically did that." He excused himself, making an anxious sort of face. I couldn't tell what he was feeling, but to be truth.. I was glad he did that. We haven't talk to each other in such a long time.
I couldn't help but smile, my cheeks flared with embarrassment just be standing in front of him. If we could be friends again... just start over... that's what I want to do. This was my chance, I had to do it.
"Ryan... I'm-"
"Let's be friends!" He spoke loudly in his low tone of voice that played as a melody into my head. Ryan's face turned red as a tomato..
"That's what I just wanted to say." I replied, and smiled even more, and my eyes started to lock into his dark mysterious eyes. Then, that's when Mark interrupted us and shouted for my name. But when I looked at Ryan, his expression changed to an irritated kind of expression.
"Cherry! Whose this guy?" Mark came closer to Ryan, analyzing him.
"Will you stop that?" Ryan suddenly turned cold as ice. He acted harsh around Mark, so I assume he dislikes him.
"Mark, that's my friend.." I said as I faced to him, by the looks of Ryan's expression, he was relieved. Mark rubbed his head, then crossed his arm.
"Well, can I be your friend?" He requests again, and I just nodded, "Sure?"
--------
During class of third period, I kept daydreaming about that incident of Ryan. The way he dragged me away, and asked we could be friends... I couldn't stop thinking about it. Let's be friends! Those lines were repeating over and over in my mind. Why... am I so... happy? Let's be friends! Let's be friends!
Let's be friends!
Is this really happening... We could finally be friends again.
P.O.V. ended------
Cherry put her head down on her desk, covering her face from the class. It wasn't Mark this time that distracted her in class, instead it was Ryan.
"Cherry, are you okay?" Crystal, a friend of hers in class asked. Cherry yelped from surprised, and got back up. She figured that she was starting to act strange, physically and mentally. Inside, she wants to be with Ryan...
"Yeah I'm alright Crystal. Shhhh." Cherry shushed her before the teacher faced her head towards us.
"I ship Cheryan!" She whispered in a fangirl tone.
"Cheryan?" Cherry asked, with a confused expression.
"You don't know? You and Ryan! Nett has been shipping you guys since last year." She explained. This topic was sudden. Cherry hid her face in my sleeves out of embarrassment.
"Woah Woah woah. Cheryan?!" Another boy from the back heard their conversation. The ship, it was spreading. Student kept whispering about it one by one and sooner the whole class is bound to know. Or even the whole 7th grade.
"Cheryan!?" Mark yelled out loud, which got him busted.
