The not so light slap in her face almost cleared the cobweb in her head.

Almost.

She squinted her eyes as she saw Denver starting to open the blinds in her room. The pain in her head keep on drumming incessantly and the lights from her now open window didn't even help.

"Shut the window, will you.?" She grumbled as she tried to pry away the lights that harming her eyes. "And what's with the fucking heavy stomping. Damn, Den..." Before she even finished her sentenced she felt a light smacked of pillow hit her head.
Colette let another string of cursed. Even though she didn't saw the huffing of her one and only friend she was sure that Denver was beyond annoyed now.

Gone are the days that she tolerated her 'rebel moments' as she nicely put it.
"Cut me some slack. I'm nursing a fucking headache here." She growled and covered her head with her blanket but her good friend just tugged away the blanket and started to move her hands as fast as she can understand and follow.

She reached for her cellphone and arched her brow when she saw that it was just 8 in the morning. Morning. Denver knew her better than anyone else that she's not a morning person and she just finished a week mission without a decent sleep, eat and bath. Colette just shook her head and started to went back to sleep. Denver sighed frustratedly and begin to tugged her arms while eyeing warily the living room. Collete suddenly left the bed and stared to her friend while safely untucking the gun under her bed..

"What was it, Den.?" She whispered and her trained eyes are now fully alert. Denver didn't answered her but just still keep her eyes in the living room.
Colette cocked her gun and walked effortlessly towards the door, totally forgotten that she was in just a muscle shirt and boxer while a hangover still drilling in her head. She grimaced as she keep her focus. "Damn, alcohol. It will really numb your brain cells." She cursed inwardly.

The gun that was aimed for the would be assailant that was sitted in one of the black leather couch was Meredith.? She cocked her head and raised her brow.

"Denver." She hollered angrily, the gun stilled on Meredith's direction. Denver's concerened look didn't even matter to her but then as she positioned herself between her gun and Meredith. She almost fucking lost it. "Move." She said tersely. Her dead pan voiced belied the turmoil that she's feeling inside and Denver knew that she's seriously mad. Her saint of a friend just shook her head and started to her feat of sign language.

"She's dangerous." She tightened her hold to her gun never leaving her eyes to Meredith.

"You must listen to her first." Denver pleading eyes made her waiver. She clicked her tongue and gave the gun to Denver who quickly return it in her room.

She stiffly sat acrossed from Meredith regretting now the absence of her gun but well she's also good at her hands.
"The hell you're doing here.?" She finally said as Denver placed a mug of coffee in front of her. Meredith eyed Denver warily who just smiled at her brightly. Colette wanted to strangle her friend for being too friendly to strangers. She really need to give Denver a word or two for being too trusting.

Meredith waited for Denver to retired to her own room before she cleared her throat and started to cry evenly. Colette had a gnawing feeling that this couldn't be good.

"Meredith.!" She snapped callously.
The woman tried hard to subdue her outburst and failed miserably.

"Meredith." She called more softly this time. She really didn't like to see anyone crying. Yeah, even this woman.

"Coletrane said that you'll help me. If things come to worst."
She frowned. "WHAT.HAPPENED.TO.MY.BROTHER?"

Coletrane. Kidnapped. Two words that must never ever come in one sentence, again. Not the second time around.

"How did this happen.?" She asked disorientated and started to called Denver who immediately appeared besides her.

"Tell me everything, never leave any details how small do you think it is." She asked in her businesslike tone. Meredith eyed again Denver who started to boot her laptop computer.

"Don't mind her, Meredith. She's my partner. Now, tell me how the fuck my brother was kidnapped.?"
