Thinking Twice

It was late summer, workers were loading crates back on the ship where Queen Misty would be going home in and since shadow and Amy are turning 15 the King and Queen decided that Shadow would stay with King Harold and Amy until next fall to get comfortable with the new surroundings so he will be staying for all of fall, winter, spring and summer. At first Shadow and Amy were in shock of the sudden change of plans and were about to burst then an offer caught there attention as they turned back and Amy asked what kind of deal?

"Well we were thinking that if you two could get along really well and spend the entire time with each other at the ball this friday then we shall call the whole marriage off!" Said the Queen. Shadow and Amy looked at each other then back at there parents and didn't get where this deal was going.

"Ugh! Never mind you wouldn't even be able to do it since you two fight all the time how foolish of me!" The Queen said as she put her hand to her face with disbelief in her tone.

That made Shadow and Amy really competitive and said that they will prove them wrong! And then Shadow grabbed Amy's hand and stormed out of the room.

The King and Queen were surprised and shocked then they smiled. "Works every time!" Queen Misty said as the two walked to the corridor.

"I don't know how we're gonna pull this off!" Shadow said as the two flopped on the bed where shadow stays when he visits Amy and the King. Amy looked at Shadow then held her chin between her index finger and her thumb while she was thinking. "Well I guess we're gonna have to start at the beginning since we're already here and all." Amy said as she blushed from embarrassment as Shadow lifted his head from the mattress and thought about it then nodded and stuck his hand out for Amy as he said "Miss Amy, I am pleased to make your acquaintance!" Shadow joked as he mocked his mother. Amy giggled then started to mock her father by speaking fancy-like. "Ahh yes mister Shadow I'm also delighted to be accompanied by you." Amy finished as both of them laughed as Shadow got up from the bed and once again held out his hand for Amy. "Amy? May I have this dance?" Shadow joked around some more and Amy took his hand again and both hedgehogs playfully danced until it was Time for bed. Amy left for her own room and Shadow got dressed and climbed into bed he blew out the candle and fell asleep.
