The New Girl

Justin P.O.V.

   "Jessica sweetie, would you like to open the curtain?" I hear from a complete stranger.

   I'm sitting in the hospital with my mother right next to me in the hospital bed, a new patient has just moved into the same room as her. Before I knew it 'Jessica' opened the curtain revealing a pretty, petite blonde girl and her mother (I think it's her mother) beside her in the bed.

   "Hi, I'm Leeann King and this" pointing to the girl beside her, "is my daughter Jessica. She's 17, about your age I am thinking."

   "Hi Leeann," my mother says, "I'm Rachael and this is my son Justin who has just turned 18."

   "Hey Justin, how long have you lived in Friant?" Jessica asked.

   "Since I was born actually," I replied to her question, "You must be new here or something because I haven't seen you around before."

   "Yeah, just got in Monday with my brother and parents," today was Wednesday so she got in 2 days ago. "Do you happen to go to Clovis High?" She asked.

   "I do," I answered.

   "Finally I found someone that goes there!" She said in excitement. Just then we were interrupted by a older looking man with a few of the same features as Jessica.

   "Hey Jessica honey, Shane and I are going to Red Lobster would you like to come or would you like to stay here with your mother?" He asked Jessica. 

   "Is it ok if I go with Shane and dad?" she asked her mother.

   "Go ahead sweetie."

  She looked at me while saying "I'm going to school tomorrow, hopefully if I see you, you can show me around or something.."

  "Of course I would, because that's the friendly guy I am" I say while popping my collar to look 'cool'. she laughs and thanks me.

   "Bye Jessica!" I say as she leavings.

   "See ya later Justin" She says with a small wave.
