The darkness of night stretched out in front of her on the long winding stretch of the highway Tamra watched vehicle after vehicle fly by in the opposite direction, finally the exhaustion had forced her pull over to vehicle to the large turn out on the right hand side of the road. Slipping out of the car and walking over to peek down into the ditch where she stood half frozen in place, when she spotted a rather large wolf lying in the grass. Quickly she returned to her car, snatching up her first aid kit Tamra walked towards the injured wolf. Lowering herself down to the cold ground she managed to crawl the remainder of the way over to the wolf, more than anything she didn't want to frighten him anymore than it already was. With his growling growing louder she began to talk softly to him in the hopes of reassuring the wolf that she was there to lend her aid and nothing more.

With her first aid kit in her slender hand Tamra settled on her knees, and opening it up on her knees, slowly she drew her cleaning pads and other items from the kit and began the tedious chore of gently cleaning out the wound and wrapping it with an antibiotic cream to prevent infection. Carefully but slowly Tamra pulled a set of scissors from the first aid kit in order to cut the gauze wrap, only to be met with a very fierce throaty growl and a nip towards her wrist. Glancing into those amber color eyes Tamra thought she saw intelligence hiding in them. Smiling softly towards her ebony colored wolf while carefully cutting the gauze and tape " Please don't bite me" she whispered over and over again including in her own mind. And with no further aggressive moves on the wolf's part Tamra completed her set task. Though her deep-sea blue eyes caught site of a rather harsh gash or tear in the chest region she very cautiously began tending to that wound as well. Knowing that deep down she should take the animal to a local vet's office for further treatment.

Instead Tamra carefully cleaned out the wound to insure that no infection might set into the deep gash; she also rummaged through the first aid kit for just the right style of bandage to place over and around the wound. Carefully helping the harshly growling wolf to stand on its own four feet, Tamra bent her head close to the wolf's ear to whisper into it, a foolish thing to do with a wild animal but she already knew that and was prepared for the consequences. "SSShhh be silent m'friend and allow me this small service to you" she crooned to the wolf, even with the longing in her heart to run free with the wolves. Thinking she saw the understanding in those amber eyes Tamra rose slowly to her feet with her first aid kit in hand and slowly turned her back to the black wolf. Carefully she made her way back to the 1992 Subaru SVX she owned. While opening the car door to slip inside she glanced back over shoulder in the direction where she last saw the wolf, but she could no longer see the ebony colored fur.

She thought the wolf had wondered off not actually liking humans any more than herself. Even though something moved silently up behind her, which turned out to be the wolf. While turning around to face a tall handsome man she noticed that the bandages on his chest and left wrist matched those of the wolves. She gasped suddenly in understanding why she couldn't touch the mind of injured wolf. With a subtle retreat she tripped and nearly fell into her car with her racing heart "Who are ye?" she asked with a quivering voice.  Now more afraid of the silence than the beautiful ebony wolf she had tended to only moments before.

He inhaled the fragrance that belonged to her while smiling warmly "I am your dark dream" he simply replied. While placing his hand around hers hoping she wouldn't refuse his aid. In all her wild ways she wouldn't let a human this close to her heart. For some odd reason this dream was the best she could ever have hoped for, yet it felt all to real, much like her dark dreams had,  "Who are ye?" she gently asked again while allowing him to retain possession of her hand." I am your dark dream come to life," he said warmly, while helping Tamra into her black sports car. Smiling gently she glanced upwards but there was only mist hanging in the air.
