A few very long weeks past by, they seemed to drag on, and on, and on. The tour that Saraya had to go on and leave April on her own was seemingly never ending. She used to love going on tour of Europe, meaning home is just a stone throw away from where she was working. She got to see her mum, her dad, all of her family in Europe. But this time it was so..different. The feeling of dread and that she just left April back in America all alone to deal with her..issue was plaguing her mind. After the tour FINALLY ended, Saraya had one show to work, in Trenton, New Jersey. She never minded working in Jersey for that's where April lived, meaning the drive to her place was a mere few minute drive from where the arena was. Perhaps she would surprise her at work like she often did when she could? Who knows. She just needed to focus on the match she had with Sasha Banks as opposed to worrying about all of this.
Once she arrived at the arena it was business as usual, signing things for fans, slapping on a totally bullshit smile to avoid people asking her too many questions. One fan, who was alone from the pack, yanked Saraya into a hug and whispered in her ear, "It's okay to be sad..I can see it on your face." Saraya was a little taken back by this, but she hugged the young girl tighter after she whispered, actually whispering back, "Thank you pumpkin." After Saraya reluctantly pulled herself away from the hug, she signed the girl's shirt and cracked a legit smile. Saraya peeled herself towards the doors of the arena and walked inside, she was greeted by her coworkers but really didn't want to speak to too many people. She made her way to the locker room and plopped down on the bench. She had one single text from April, stating: "Hey sweet thaang. I know you will kill it tonight! I can't wait to see you on TV, then see you here! Please keep smiling, you're my little angel. Love you!" The words were reassuring, but Saraya wanted to hear it in person, not over text messaging.
She couldn't act spoiled like this, this would have to do for now. As much as it killed her inside to not be able to see April in person, she would just have to deal with it. Getting out of her comfy clothes and reluctantly getting into her ring gear, she looked in the mirror and placed her hands on her stomach. The problem that April had..and Saraya did not have was in her head at all times. She ran her fingers up and down her stomach and bit down on her bottom lip, attempting to avoid sobbing like an infant. Saraya had some demons inside of her, beginning with the fact that she doesn't like how her own body looks. She always was compared to April on television. April was an exceptionally tiny woman in height and weight, there of course were reasons for that, but she was still small. And Saraya? Wasn't all that small, often being called horrible names by fans over social media and she has heard the occasional thing from coworkers whom she confronted and put the fear of god into immediately. But nonetheless, it hurt like hell to hear from people she thought she could trust. Saraya's eyes were glued to her stomach, she couldn't imagine herself pregnant, huge stomach and not wrestling. It really was weighing heavily on her mind and her anxiety was beginning to visibly show on her face, the black bags under her eyes signified lack of sleeping, her eyes were always dry due to her never ending crying when she had quiet moments to herself, it really was a living nightmare inside her head right now.
This was the first time in her career that Saray would rather sit in the back and not work as opposed to working with one of her best friends in the whole world. As she paced around back with her black hoodie popped up, in an effort to avoid all contact with the outside world, she felt a tap on her left shoulder, shit, of course someone would try to talk to her. What don't people understand about a popped up hoodie, goddamn it all. She turned around and saw it was Mercedes. Oh, that's alright then, nevermind about the angry shit she just had in her head seconds before this. Mercedes smile quickly faded when she saw Saraya's face, it was so clear and apparent that she was either hurting, or she just wasn't feeling it. "Jeez girl, you look like you've died six times..Are you feeling alright??" Mercedes raised a hand and put the back of her hand to Saraya's cheek, feeling how cold she really was, it was uncharacteristic of her to be cold when she had her hood up before a match. Saraya cleared her throat and looked down, "Well thanks pumpkin, you look like your typical barrel of sunshine. What's the point?" Saraya was a tad bit too snappy these past few weeks but..how could she not be?
