Monday, 9AM

"Laureeen!!" I turned around to see who's calling me the moment I heard my name. It's Sophie, my best friend, ecstatically running towards me. She hugged me tight like we haven't seen each other for a month, while it's just two days we weren't able to hang-out. Too busy these days and very hectic schedule because we are already graduating from college in two weeks!

"Hey, what did you do to your curls?" I asked breaking from the hug and pointing at her newly-straightened blond hair.

"Well," she says, "time for a new look! Of course, we will be meeting a lot of new people outside and, you know, I gotta be pretty. So why don't you try something new or different? Maybe--"

"Yeah, whatever." I told her, cutting her off. She, indeed, speaks fast whenever excitement or panic fills her whole body. "Listen, I need to go. My first class today is Drama and I still have something to work on. I'll see you later at lunch?"

"Okay, see ya."

I nodded and we both part ways.

When I opened the door of our school theatre, my classmates are babbling and I hear some talks everywhere in the room.

"I've been waiting for years!"

"Oh my God, this is so insane."

"I'm gonna freak out."

"Finally!"

"This is our time to shine!"

I was so confused and I don't know every single thing they're talking about. Is everyone going to be the protagonist of our play? Are we going to perform on another planet? What is happening? I feel like I just woke up from a long period of time of sleep that I didn't notice it's already 2013.

This made me to ask my classmate what is going on.

"Um, so, I just came in and, it seems like there is something different happening here..."

She (my classmate) suddenly touched my hand and said- I mean shouted, "OH MY GOFD LAUREN PNE DUTEVTIOM IS COMUINHG!!!"

"Uhh, what?"

She obviously hasn't heard me ask because she was jumping and freaking out. So I decided to wait for our director to announce and explain all of this.

Just a few moments later when our director came. I'm about to ask him when he has spoken to the microphone. "Settle down, boys and girls," his voice is loud enough for all of the people inside the theatre to hear, and he makes sure that he is speaking the words clearly. "I knew most of you gathered here have heard the news already, but of course some of you do not. For everyone to know, the most popular boy band of this generation," his voice getting louder full of excitement, "One Direction, will be watching your performance!"

Half of the people screamed and went hyper, and the other half applauded. I don't know, maybe they're proud. Anyways, neither am I included with the halves.

Oh.

"Okay girls, I understand you. Now stay in your sits and calm down," and he continued, "In line with that, I want each and every one of you to do your bestest best you can. Can I trust you with this?" Everybody nodded their heads with big grins on their faces, except me.

"Mrs. Richards, don't you agree with this idea?" he turned to me and asked. Actually, I don't really know. It's not a big deal to me. You act on the stage while uncountable audiences, plus a well-known boyband, watch you and that's it.

"No, it's just, fine, I think. Uhm, I just wanted to know why? I mean, this didn't happen before?"

He smiled and said, "You'll see. Soon." and he walked out of the room.

Later, we're back at practising the whole play and almost everyone, if you can imagine, is totally giving their best shot. But no, that's not a good thing. Because they're over-acting!

And oh, I forgot to tell you. I'm one of the minor characters. So it's absolutely fine with me because I'm not over-exposed; and I can act naturally.
