"Are you really leaving!?" Pisti exclaimed, nearly jumping over the table. There were tears already clinging to her eyelashes. Sharrkan felt Spartos squeeze his hand underneath the table. He squeezed back.

"Yeah.. I'm going to New York." Spartos replied quietly. Sharrkan was a little proud of him- he hadn't cried in a while. Not since the previous night.

The previous night.. That brought memories to Sharrkan that made his stomach do flips.

----

"Wait, what- what are you talking about, Spartos?" Sharrkan blinked, astounded at what his boyfriend had just asked of him.

Spartos frowned slightly. He sat between Sharrkan's legs on the other male's bed. And yes, their clothes were still completely on. Well..

"Please, Sharrkan.." Spartos pleaded, his face making this even harder for Sharrkan to refuse him. Well, that and the hand on his thigh.

"Spartos, I.." He shook his head slightly. "No."

The redhead's face fell. "But.. But I'm leaving! I just- I wanted-"

"I know what you want." Sharrkan sat up, caressing his face gently with a hand. "But it.. it's not right. It's not that I don't want to, with you, or anything. But, it's not the right time." He kissed his nose gently. "If I took advantage of you like this, I'd be.. I'd be exactly what your dad thinks I am."

Spartos blinked a little but nodded nonetheless. "Right.."

Sharrkan wrapped him in a hug, kissing him gently. "I promise you.. When you come back, we will, alright?" He smiled lightly, stroking his face lovingly, his fingers mapping out the structures as though memorizing it. "And it'll be the best, most romantic night of your life. Promise."

Spartos flushed considerably but nodded again. "If you really promise."

Sharrkan nodded once, falling back and tugging him with him. "Now making out, I'm completely okay with~" He said with a grin, earning a light smile from Spartos.

----

"When do you have to leave?" Yamuraiha asked, concern written all over her face.

"This weekend. Or Friday, possibly. The whole house is practically packed already." Spartos answered, frowning still and staring at the table.

"But.. we're so close to graduation.." Pisti mumbled, looking as heartbroken as Sharrkan felt.

"I can't do anything about it. I tried."

"We'll miss you around here.."

Spartos nodded sullenly. "I'll miss you guys too.."

"So.. are you guys going to still be dating?"

Sharrkan blinked and nodded. "Yeah.. why wouldn't we be?"

"Well, I just heard that long distance is really tough." Yamuraiha said, twirling a lock of her hair between her fingers. "I wouldn't want you guys to go through that stress. Well, I wouldn't want Spartos to, anyway."

Sharrkan glared at her. "Yes, we're still dating. And he's coming back once he turns eighteen. So it'll just be a few months. We can handle that."

She shrugged. "Whatever you say."

"Anyway, are you all coming to my game tonight?"

"Definitely. We always do." Pisti answered, nodding determinedly.

"Just making sure." Sharrkan grinned. "It'll be great. I know we'll win."

"You say that every time."
