I feel the house shaking as the subway passes by. I know when the New York subway passes its time for me to get up. I slowly rise from my bed, and throw on my clothes for the day. As I was heading for the door to go to the kitchen I slipped my shoes on and put my hair in a ponytail. The kitchen is quite small but also where my family spends the most time. We cook, do homework, watch T.V. and just about everything else you could think of here. Just as I was getting a bowl of cereal I hear my mom call my name," Kayla, hurry up before you are late to school!" I glance at the clock and realize I have 12 minutes to get to school before I'll be counted tarty. I sprinted to school, not even eating the breakfast I prepared. When I was walking into the classroom I heard the bell ring, and the teacher motioned me to my seat. After all of my boring classes were done I started heading home when my mom picked me up when I was only halfway to our house. I wasn't expecting her to get me so when I got in the car I was confused. Then my mom said softly," Kayla, your dad has found a new job but not in New York, its in Oregon. And we have to leave tomorrow for your father to get the job otherwise they said they will give it to the next person in line. I'm really sorry to do this to you but we feel its the best for our family right now." I didn't know how to feel, if I should be mad or sad so instead I sat there silent as I couldn't believe tomorrow was my last day in New York City.
