Chapter (2)

Its morning by now and Nanami's eyes flutter open.
She sits in bed for a while.
She looks at her phone.
No messages at all from her parents.
"See? They don't care at all " she whispered sadly to her self.
But she decided to get up and shower before she goes to her little job.its 1:00 in the afternoon.
She waits for the water to get warm then she gets in and lets all her tense muscles relax with the warm water.
School only starts in 1 month.
So for now its just work in the mornings or afternoons.
She then gets out of the shower and puts on her clothes.
She was told to wear all black.
So she wore black jeans and a black button up shirt leaving two of her buttons open.
She put her hair up in a ponytail and applied some mascara and lipgloss.
She didn't need much makeup since she was naturally beautiful.
She had pink rosy lips , big eyes, big eyelashes and her cheeks were naturally pink.
Her face was the definition of a cheerful person.
But in reality she wasn't.
Not since she got separated from Nat.
She got her phone and her messenger bag ( cross over bag) and got out of her apartment.
She walked to the cafe that she was going to work with as a waitress.
It was called Cafe California.

Nanami's POV
"Good morning!" I said to my boss which was quite attractive if i say so my self. he looked like about 25 years old.
He had brown hair and hazel eyes.
"Good morning! Ready for your new job?" He asked with a sincere smile.

"Yeah." I say to him honestly.

"Here's your apron and those are you first guests." he said handing me the apron and pointing to a table filled with sweaty boys who were soccer jerseys.

I sighed internally.

"Thank you!" I said to my boss.

And went to serve the boys.
After them there came more and more and more.
I was exhausted!
Even though it was only 3:00 pm.
I was lost in my trait of thought before i saw new customers come in.
I grabbed some menus and brought them over to them.
They were three teenage boys.
"Hi i'm Nanami and i will serve you today!" I said cheerfully.
And No...i didn't say it in a flirty way.
"Thanks" they all said.
"What will you guys have to drink today?" I asked them.

"Ill have a Nanami." One of them said with a slight smirk.
The rest of the boys started laughing.
Huh?
"Uh.... Excuse me? I don't think we have a Nan-" i was slightly confused but then i gave him a playful glare.

"Haha.very funny" i said to him.
Note the sarcasm.

"No but really are you single?" He asked seriously this time.

"Your a customer i can't answer that for you." i said seriously.

He slightly frowned and the other 2 guys started laughing.
I saw he started blushing before hanging his head down.

"Look I'm sorry but I'm not really looking to date someone right now.
I kinda have my eyes on this one guy but i haven't seen him in years." i said blushing a little and looking down.

"Thats ok. No pressure but if that guy doesn't like you then you can come with me!" He said with a big smile.

"No but seriously what do you guys want to drink?" I asked them.
Then they told me what they wanted and i went to the staff in the kitchen and placed the order there.

Then i served some more customers and time flew by.
Today went by smoothly.
I didn't receive any rude customers.
By the time i knew it my shift was over.
I untied my apron and hung it up.
Then i walked to my boss's office.

"Hi boss my um shift is over so ill be leaving now." i say to him.

"Oh yeah thanks for your good work! Your a natural!" He saids with a smile.

"Thanks! Bye !" I said to him and exited the Cafe. It was currently 5:00 pm.

As i was walking out of there i noticed a man and an old lady.

Me being who i am observed closely and realized that it was some dude trying to steal the lady's purse.
I immediately ran over to that guy and slammed my bag against his head causing him to stop pulling the bag and the lady stopped pulling too.

The old dude tried to grab my wrists and push me down.
But little did this guy know that i was a Martial arts master.
I kneed him in his " balls" and he fell down to the floor on his knees.
Then i kicked him in the face and grabbed the old lady's purse.

"Here you go ma'am!" I said as i gave the lady her purse back.

"Oh thank you so much dar-" she was smiling but then she stood there with an expression that said " look behind you".
I immediately elbowed the guy and he fell down again.
This time i took out my phone and called the police but the lady had beat me to it and the police was already here.
"I don't know how to thank you darlin!" She said with a cheery expression.

"Ma'am your smile is all i need!" I said to her honestly.
I loved helping people.

"Oh! Thank you so much!" She said again.

"Your welcome but just to make sure can i come with you until you get home?" I ask her worried that there will be another purse snatcher.

"Yes please!" She said and i crossed my arm with hers.

We started walking and she asked me questions.

"So hun do you live with your parents?" She asked.

"Im 17 years old but i live by my self. My parents live in Mexico and I'm an only child." I said to her.

"Oh but why do you live here by your self?" She asked looking quite worried.

"Well i actually came to look for someone."
"Is it someone you love?" She asked with a smile.

"Yeah and the last time i saw him , i was about 8 years old."

"Oh well i wish you good luck finding him." she said with a sincere smile before looking at her house.

We had already gotten to her house.

"Is this where you live?" I asked her.

"Yes dear thank you for coming home with me" she said

"Your very welcome miss."

"Why don't you have some tea with me?" She asked and i didn't want to be rude so i said yes.

"Yeah."

We go inside and she leads me to her kitchen.
I see she then gets 2 cups and her tea kettle.

"Now how old did you say you were darlin?" She suddenly asks me while she's getting the tea ready.

"Im 17 years old ma'am." I say to her.

"Oh your the same age as my grandson! He's coming next month for school!" She suddenly gets excited and tells me that.

"Oh thats nice! Im going to school next month too!" I say excitedly.

"Maybe you will go to the same school as him!" She tells me excitedly.

"Well my name is Nanami miss.

"Nanami? Thats a beautiful name darlin." she tells me as she bring me my cup of tea and hers too.

"Thank you and what's your name ma'am?" I ask her politely.

"My name is Linda. Call me Linda from now on." she tells me and laughs.

"Can i call you Ms.Linda?" I ask her and then laugh.

"Yes hun you can call me whatever you want." she saids laughing.

We stayed in a comfortable silence and sipped our teas.

After we chatted some more , i finished my tea , said goodbye to Ms.Linda and walked to my apartment.
I finally got there ,
took a shower ,
threw myself on my bed and fell asleep.
