Another week passed, and I was ready for any obstacles willing to be in the way. Its safe to say that I actually cruised through the week, with a few rude comments here and there, but not rude enough to actually phase me. The party was that weekend and I new that Louis would not let me down and actually get me a loser of a partner or anyone like that, not that I had a problem with losers.
Friday came with a big bang as everyone at school was talking about Nick Shaw's party like he was some god who needed to be graced with his followers presence. The noise never died down from all over the school, even in the classrooms during lessons. Eventually after school it was more quiet as everyone who was usually the noisy bunch, especially the girls, had gone to plan for Saturday's party.I went to the parking lots to get my new motorbike, that my parents bought me two days back for actually trying to start a new life in a new school. I had stayed late to catch up on work and had a guitar jam session by myself as always. I always had a feel for the guitar and drums, but never had the nerve to actually start taking lessons, so instead I started teaching myself till I knew what the different notes meant, so in other words, I taught myself music and how to read it.
The parking after an hour was always a quarter full, as some people came out of sports at that time, and of course the one person I was not excited to see just had to be there out of all days.
"Yoh new girl! Hey Alex!" I ignored him and carried on walking to my motorbike. I climbed on and was about to turn on the ignition, when Nick stood in front of my bike.
"Get out of the way stupid or else..." I snarled at him, all he did was return with a cocky smirk that sent my anger hormones into full blast, but yet I slowly breathed and calmed myself down.
"Or what?" He said with the smirk still on his face. I wanted so much to say 'or this' and run him over a thousand times with my hands in the air playing a pun rock song and ululating like a maniac, but I got my composure just in time, before my wish actually came true.
"What do you want Shaw?" I resigned with a slightly heavy sigh. I was tired and did not have time to waste arguing back and forth with him.
"Finally, the beast is calm. I just wanted to ask if you were coming to the best party of your high school life?"
"Which is...?" This made Nick mad and slightly embarrassed you could just see it in his body language, he was not comfortable."Its hard to imagine a girl like you having such a shallow mind. The people who don't know about my party are either losers or outcast. So which one are you?" This somehow got to me, I just felt myself being all defensive. This guy did not have to see me break down, but I was and I was not sure if it was showing on the outside. I turned on my bike and revved it a few times. Nick did not even flinch when his friends did, but I expected him not to. We stared at each other dead in the eyes, not breaking the stare even to blink. After I had calmed down, I cleared my throat so he could hear me properly over the engine of the bike, "You can decide that when you see me there, and look at yourself before you ask me that question." I moved forward and they got out of my way. I was mad at myself for letting that thick-headed ass get to me, why does he always have to butt into my life or make me feel like an outcast? Did he hate me or something, because two can play at that game?
