Chapter 9

Bill's POV

In perfect honesty, I wasn't to found of being stuck in one place while a few cuts and fractures heard up. To me, pain was like being tickled.

I sat up, got off this stupid couch and walked around a bit to just stretch my legs. I walked over to a window and looked out. For some reason, I found things really beautiful now that I was really looking at them. "Bill!" I turned around to see ShootingStar with a tray of food.

"Oh. ShootingStar, I didn't-"

"It's Mable! Stop with the whole 'ShootingStar' stuff." She said with a huff. "Anyway. Come here, you shouldn't be standing up. What part of 'a broken rib or FIVE don't you understand?"

"The part where I have to stay down. I mean-" Suddenly, I noticed something. "M-my chest." I put a hand over it. It felt like something was pulsing in there.

"My heart!" ShootingStar jumped, and I started laughing. "It's betting again? I knew it was but now I'm really noticing it and it's clicking. He's gonna know I'm alive!" PineTree and Llama run in. I grabbed him. "He's gonna know I'm alive!" I was laughing still like I was crazy.

"Bill. You're freaking me out." He leaned back. "Take a breath. You're freaking out." He took my hands. "Now, CALMLY, tell me what up."

I took a breath, I felt tears run down my face. "M-my brother. He knows I'm alive." He wiped my face softly. "Bill. You have a brother?" I nodded.

"Will. I'm alive and he must be able to feel it beating. Right? Right!?" I started to shake. "H-he has to know..." Thats when it hit me, what if he was dead and I just didn't know. "Dipper he's gotta know!" I was scared.

"W-woah! Bill calm down. It's gonna be ok. I promise. Just breath." I tried to calm down but I couldn't, I just felt really tried.

"I need to lay down." I painted. He helped me lay down and I fell asleep immediately, not knowing I had trapped him below me.

Dipper's POV

Bill had passed out, trapping me in his arms but I didn't really mind. I was also very tired so I fell asleep myself.

I was floating in a room of nothing but pure darkness. The air was heavy, making it hard for me to breath and made my body feel like it was going to break. Laughter I've never heard broke the silence. It was like my own but it had an echo to it. "Well. Well. Well. If it isn't us? How have we been?" It said laughing. "No need to answer us now, you must think we are a dream."

"I don't understand. Who's 'we' who are you?" I called out. A flurry of blue fire spun around in the dark to show someone starting to emerge from the fire but, for some reason, I woke up and bolted up right.

Bill shot up as well. "Hey, you woke me up what is it?" He looked at me and his face went pale. "PineTree? What is with that mark on your shoulder?" He moved my shirt and showed a mark I had no idea about. He went to touch it but it burnt him. "How did this happen? Why you!?" He screamed.

"Bill calm down. Wha-" In a moment he was on me but not like he wanted a fight, he was hugging me, shaking and scared maybe? "Bill? What is it?"

"Not you... anyone but you. He can't take you." He was shaking and I just held him. "Tell me you won't let him take you. Say he can't have you. Don't go with that damn demon. Please... please don't do it." He was so scared. I didn't know what to do.

"I-I'm not going anywhere Bill. It's alright..."
