I knocked nervously at the door with a tray of food in my other hand. "Come in." a soft, gentle voice said from inside. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. I saw her sitting on the bed. The ivory blanket covered the lower half of her body, and she was resting on some pillows. She greeted me with a smile. "You're Aki, right?" she asked as I handed her the tray. "Y-yeah..." I replied shyly. "I'm Melody." She held her hand out, and I shook it gently. She motioned for me to sit on the chair beside her bed, and I did. "So... you're Reita's hanayome?" she asked. I slightly nodded. "It's nice to finally meet you!" she beamed. "Meevs told me a lot about you." I blushed a bit. I wonder what he told? "And... you're Miyavi's hanayome?" I asked. She nodded in reply. "Is it... difficult?" I asked. She laughed. "Not really... But I guess you're new to it, right?" she said. I nodded in reply. Her voice was oddly compelling. Like she was always singing her words out. I studied her carefully as she ate. Her pale skin shone slightly in the faint moonlight, and her scars were visible. Rope burns around her wrists, bite marks on her neck and shoulders... and I really wouldn't want to see the multiple whip lashes on her back. I learned that a few hours after Gackt was killed by Miyavi, Kai found Melody hidden in one of the rooms. "Melody-niichan?" I timidly said. "Hai?" "I wonder... how come you ended up in Gackt's hands?" I asked. "Oh. That." She turned her head to the window and smiled.

As you know, Miyavi joined a cult full of vampires with Gackt. They were so obsessed with human sacrifices, bloody ones. Of course, it wasn't long before Miyavi found me and decided to keep me for himself. I felt pain at first, but after months quite came to the point that I enjoyed it. It was just a game at first, you see. It was all for fun, just for the heck of it because he can. After a while, he told me that his current life disgusted him. He didn't like torturing humans anymore, and he was disgusted at himself. He was more than happy to run away, but he wanted to take me with him. "Why me?" I asked. Miyavi's more than all I could ever ask for. We ran into Kai and he took both of us in under his wing. After realizing that the cult had vanished, he asked Kai to live back here. He owned this mansion before, along with Gackt. We lived here, and after a few months we found Ruki. After a little over a year of living here, Gackt kidnapped me. He told me he hated how I lead Meevs out of his cult, and that I should repay all the damages Meevs caused. He was a strong pillar in the cult, you see. But Gackt was stronger. He tortured me, although he wasn't alone. The four others... Shou, Hiroto, Saga and Nao... they were merciless. Tora... that's another story... and it's Kai-kun's to tell. Anyway. I'm quite thankful that Gackt had a vision of revenge, giving me a chance to see Miyavi again before I die. This might sound weird coming from me, but I was eternally grateful that you brought Miyavi back to me. And... I'm quite relieved that Rei-kun finally found his significant other. He was always alone, you see, and he didn't believe in love. He was abandoned by his father and kidnapped by the cult Gackt and Miyavi joined. Gackt tortured him, of course. Kai found pity in him and took him away... after convincing Meevs to leave the cult as soon as possible. So... that's probably it. Ah, right, haven't I told you that I was speaking to your mind?
