"Leonora. My lovely daughter. Come to join me?" Samuel asked. Leo barked out a bitter laugh and whipped out a gun. I locked the door. They had no cameras.
"Funny you should ask. I work for the 'enemy'." She pulled the trigger and fired a shot. Samuel crumpled to the floor. Leo grabbed my hand and Vapor traveled to the plane. Im assuming she left a not because she started the engine up right away.
"Ma'am, Director is calling. Shall i andwer? Jarvis asked.
"Yeah." Suddenly Furys voice sounded on the planes com.
"Mission succsessful i take it."
"Yeah. He was my step father. It feels good knowjng hes off my back for good. We are close to the Helecarrier sir. Do you want us to land? Or go back to the tower?" Leo asked.
"Land on the Helecarrier. See you in a few agents." The line went dead.
"What was that?" I asked. She looked bewieldered at me.
"What was what?" She said calmly.
"The kiss. You act like its nothing!" I was angry. The girl i fell hoplessly(not really but it seemed like that) in love with kissed me and acted like it was nothing.
"Jackson, considering youve worked here over a year and have gone on a lot of missions, you would know that, that." She said bluntly.
"Well, it wasnt nothing. We have been on several missions and not once, when we had to play couple, did you kiss me." I was trying to contain my anger by thinking of her normal self before today as i took a step toward her in her pilot seat. She set the plane on auto pilot and stood.
"If you wanted the mission to work out, then that was what had to be done!" She said angrily steping toward me.
"Yeah? How about next mission that we play couple, ill randomly pull you into a kiss. What about that?" I said. We were nose to nose at this point.
"I'd like that." She whispered. That moment, time stopped as i crashed my lips onto hers. This time no missions. No pretend. This was for real. We came up for air. Her hair was desheveled. We were grinning like mad men.
